Here are some pics of the highly disappointed couple, seething furiously at the Everton match:

How very hurtful and unhelpful of the Daily Mirror to snap them at such a time

Is the Mirror not one of the friendlies? You could think they would get a different photo indeed. They managed to get haircuts and play tennis and jog within days of their child's disappearance so why would it be different now.

With friends like these, who needs enemies ?

And, oh! The irony! In the very last sentence! It's absolutely delicious!
Fab Iris.
They won't go to Portugal because they know they're going to lose and their presence would definitely make headlines. What they hope is that the cases loss won't become front page news without their attendance and photos to go with it.

This is exactly how the paper printed it.

OUCH!
Not so much seething and furious - even inside the article it says they are disappointed. But I guess the papers were trying to stir up some kind of feeling, with that photo I think it was anti McCann feeling rather than sympathy.
You know if they accept comments under these articles, a number of them will remark upon how not stressed or unhappy they look.
Still to see McCanns gagged is rather unusual. they are so used to dictating what goes into the paper. Probably doesn't bode well for them in the trial either.
now bring on the Portugal-is-a-third-world-country bashing, when Amaral wins this.
