A SECRET dossier on burglars on the Algarve in Portugal is being shown to Scotland Yard detectives investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Portuguese police have kept the confidential file for years following a spate of break-ins in and around Praia da Luz, the resort from where Madeleine disappeared when she was three in May 2007.
Children were abused during some burglaries.
A businesswoman renting villas in the area confirmed: "Police have a special file on burglars operating in the area. Most of them are Portuguese and Romanian gypsies.
"Burglars go anywhere and everywhere in Luz and normally break in during the middle of the night when you're asleep.
"Burglars come in and steal your stuff and sometimes you don't know about it until you wake up in the morning."
The woman, who does not wish to be named, said from her office in Lagos, four miles from Luz: "It's been going on for years, well before Madeleine disappeared. Police here are aware of the problem but the public aren't aware."
Yard detectives to whom the Portuguese break-ins dossier is being made available are reported to be focusing on three burglars who targeted people in Luz.
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe disclosed last week how his officers and Portugal's Policia Judiciaria are moving towards a joint investigation team and have the names of suspects.
Madeleine's parents Kate and Gerry McCann, of Rothley, Leicestershire, believe their daughter, who would now be aged 10, could still be alive.
Former GP Kate, 45, revealed in her book about Madeleine's abduction that she had discovered five cases of British children being sexually attacked in their beds while on holiday.
She wrote: "It broke my heart to read the terrible accounts of devastated parents and the experiences of their poor children.
"British tourists in holiday accommodation were being targeted. It is so hard not to scream from the rooftops about how these crimes appear to have been brushed under the carpet."
One British mother claims kidnappers may have tried to take her own young daughter just six weeks before Madeleine disappeared.
She claims that while she was staying at Montechoro, near Albufeira, 30 miles from Luz, a scruffy migrant from the former Soviet Union spiked her drink then tried to take her one-year-old blonde daughter to a getaway car.
The 30-year-old woman said: "It was terrifying, like something out of a film. I've given a statement to Scotland Yard and they are arranging to interview me again.
"I'll do anything I can to help. I can't be the only mum who has had a near-miss.

Re: Burglary files to aid hunt for Madeleine McCann ...Sunday Express
What self respecting human being would put their name to writing this rubbish and still consider themselves a "professional" in the field of journalism ?
I think this is one of the best yet.
A great description of what burglars "do" and how they do it. One of life's great mysteries solved.
A secret dossier, so secret a woman who rents villas for a living knows all about it.
But yet again no account can be made for Eddie and Keela and their findings in this story.
Our canine friends will solve this yet, they have truly come back to bite SY where it hurts most. They simply cannot be thrown in to any scenario without explanation and they cannot be ignored.
Come on journalists of the great UK tabloids, give us a story which includes an explanation of Eddie and Keelas findings.

Another Sunday Special from James 'Ibiza? Is That In Brazil?' Murray and Tracey 'I Live In Rothley Too!' Kandohla.
I suspect some may be already running for the hills at this point, but then:
We see that a businesswoman renting villas who relates this sorry saga does not wish to be named.
Just like many McCann storytellers of late who insist on remaining anonymous.
Now look here, hacks. You've already been told that if your 'sources' won't reveal who they are, then we can hardly be expected to believe anything they say.
Tearing your hair out yet, readers? Probably, but then:
We learn that the burglars are Portuguese or Romanian gypsies who also assault children during their break-ins.
Jigsaw-fitting hybrid suspects. Knit one, purl one, knit two together ...
And that whiff of an Eastern European angle then allows a reprise of a previous, too-coy-to-be-named mother who supposedly had her drink spiked by a Russian. Quelle coincidence.
Well folks - did you ever wake up screaming on a Sunday and then realise you weren't even asleep?
NEXT!!!

I was like a fish out of water last Sunday when for the first time in years there was no stupid McCann story in the papers.
Thank you to the intrepid "journalists" James and Tracey for putting things right this week.

I am half thinking this is a deliberate p*ss taking exercise. Kahndola, maybe not, she has a very low IQ. James is a senior Reporter and I suspect he is having a laugh as he is helping to write this drivel sticking two fingers up to the McCanns and SY in the process. Let's not forget Desmond paid over one million pounds to the Tapas Group in compensation ........he would love revenge.
"Burglars go anywhere and everywhere in Luz and normally break in during the middle of the night when you're asleep.'
This woman is really well informed , not only does she know the Nationalities of most of the Burglars, she knows their modus operandi as well.

Hi weissnicht, I don't think James is a clown, Tracey is ......but James is a Senior Reporter and he probably had a good laugh after he and Tracey composed the Article.
I can't remember his name, he is/was the Editor of the New Statesman.....he wrote a long time ago when interest in this case was at fever pitch that if ever the British Press found the McCanns involved in Madeleine's disappearance , they would be merciless.
I doubt if Joe Public is interested in this case now, it has reached saturation point , I know my Friends can't understand why I am still interested.
All i hope is I live long enough to get to know exactly what happened on that fateful night.

The sale of blood pressure medication fell dramatically last Sunday. This week we see the Governments attempt to bring the drug companies profits back on track. If mine is anything to go by after today's story, it has worked.

I can believe burglars target the bungalos of tourists, anywhere - I'm sure they do. how that relates to this case is yet to be seen.
If everyone knows what is going on - including their names, MOs and nationalities - it's a pity the local cops haven't copped on much less SY with all their resources.

Courtesy of McCann files says it all
Info gleaned from kate's bewk is hardly information. It's her "version" of the truth and stated as such - she can scream from the rooftops for these poor Biritish tourists although she did not choose to do so when her own child was missing.
I wonder what poor devastated British parents she's speaking about - again - I guess they held their piece throughout their own devastation and after MM's disappearance, for several (6?) years until this woman she mentions says that someone tried to speak to her child on holiday.
I know Brits are understated and so forth however I think waiting to speak for all this time (one person) or holding their tongue (forever ) is a bit much to expect - if there were loads of tourists this happened to or even ONE I think you'd have heard by now.
Cue the pics of sad mums with the kids -who are fine and not bothered nor kidnapped, 7 years on, - who suddenly remember such incidents.

How come two hacks know the content of a secret dossier. Sounds like something Dan Brown made up.

There are no secret dossiers. These two eejits have taken "information" from Kate's bewk at face value - I have seen no mention of this anywhere which is doubtless why it is SECRET ie IMAGINARY

this businesswoman who shall remain nameless may not even exist, as a person who validates kate's suggestion that there are all these heartbreaking stories of people whose kids were abused, is to put it kindly unsubstantiated.
As if the PJ or any local cops would keep hidden -for YEARS - documents of child abuse by "burglars" - and only Kate could ferret it out - phfft.
Yes, because when my child is shockingly abused on holiday, I totally keep that secret and leave it up to the local cops to hide away in secret.
So heartbreaking.

its a bit like that story of Jones the spy, everyone knew he was a spy so nothing he did was secret. doubt this dossier is secret, media got to make it interesting some how.
I still think this is in response to the Crimewatch callers, allegedly 80% of whom said to arrest the parents.
