Forever Searching Missing Children's Day Awareness Ball
This was sent to me today and wanted to post for anyone interested
Forever Searching are delighted to announce their first major event. The aim is to raise awareness to International Missing Children’s Day, May 25th. It is always marked in the USA and Canada, the UK signed up to it in 2006, but to date, no major marker has ever been done to acknowledge it. We aim to change that.
Events will be as follows:
Sunday 24th May
1pm – March for the Missing, Leicester City. Assemble at the Cenotaugh Victoria Park, walk through to Town Hall Square.
7pm – Missing Children’s Day Awareness Ball – Walkers Stadium, Leicester
This will include a 3 course dinner, live entertainment by Tara London www.myspace.com/taralondon and Cute Loony, who have supported us in the past with charity events, www.myspace.com/cuteloony. We will also have key note speakers, including a representative from NPIA, and we are hoping to secure speakers from Railway Children and one of the parental abduction specific organisations. We will also be hearing a few words from the lovely Nicki Durbin www.findluke.com
Tickets can be ordered through events@foreversearching.com and are £55 per head.
Monday 25th May
11.00am – Missing Children’s Day service at Leicester Cathedral.
There are three accommodation options, currently Travel Lodge http://www.travelodge.co.uk are running a promotion, the night of the 24th is just £19.00 for a single room bed and £29 for a double, breakfast is extra. Leicester Central is the one to go for, it is a few minutes ride away from the stadium, but closer to the time, please let us know who is staying there and we’ll arrange group taxi’s.
On site at the Walkers Stadium and slightly more upmarket than Travel Lodge is Holiday Inn Express Walkers Stadium, 0116 249 4590, if you quote that you are attending an event at Walkers, the rate is £60 per double room bed and breakfast.
More upmarket yet is the Leicester Marriott, the rates vary here but seem to be typically around the £85 mark for a room on bed and breakfast basis. 0116 282 0100.

I don't think that they will. Unless it's exclusive they don't want to know.

They wont pay £55 each either......but the fund might!
Ok I must add that its a great event but if the McCanns do attend....it will ruin it in my opinion!

Anyone live near London??
Anyone going to be anywhere near London?
There is a march there - and if I go (which I probably will) I will take a banner with some names on from here

They cant possibly attend when its been proven they didnt look for their own child. Why would they care about other missing children?
