Racism or realism revisited
A member of UKIP is again under the spotlight, this time for allegedly making racist comments about Lenny Henry. Apart from the establishment controlled media being terrified of UKIP, this seems to be one way only traffic. examining Lenny henry's comments, would in any reasonable debate be classed as racist comments. He wants more African and Ethnic minority representation. Isn't that racist? Almost inevitable then this brings the comment that if he doesn't like the way it is here, he is free to go and live somewhere more to his liking. What is racist about that?
It's all of a piece. We are fine having an association of Black police officers but an association of white officers would be racist. Why is that? The last time we visited our home town of Middlesbrough, we drove past an "Asian youth meeting hall" Isn't that racist? Would we be allowed a white youth meeting hall?
Lenny Henry has the same choice we all have. There is nothing racist about telling him if he doesn't like the way things are he can exercise that choice. he could always stand for parliament or local government himself, but then it would doubtless be racist not to vote for him.
The word is being bandied about to the point where it is becoming automatic (and meaningless) It does seem plain though that the authorities are terrified of UKIP. and having no rational arguments against them, resort to this type of dirty campaigning.

Re: Racism or realism revisited
Just 5.4% of the broadcasting industry is made up of black, Asian, minority and ethnic (BAME) people, he said.
I'm sure that figure cannot be right, because according to some other political figures, the Jews control the entertainment industry and television.

Good evening Iris
He may very well be correct in his figures although like you, I would have thought it higher. But since the ethnic minorities allegedly comprise about 5% of the populace, that figure on his own reasoning would be about right. So in wanting disproportionate numbers, it is in fact Lenny Henry who is being racist.
The real points are the way the racist tag is being used more and more often to shut people up, or have them chucked out of office, or both. The other point is the way the establishment which still has absolutely no intention of representing us in any way are resorting to dirty tricks to hide that fact. Maybe UKIP will not turn out to be the representatives of the people they say they are, but as sure as shooting the Conservatives, Labour, and the Liberal demolition party most certainly are not.
