Daily Express 2nd May
This is from the Newspaper, relegated to Page 7 so I can't copy and paste but here are bits from the Article. (Sick buckets at the ready)
Headline: 'WHY I WALK THE STREETS WHERE MADDIE VANISHED , BY KATE
Reporter David Pilditch
"Kate McCann fought back tears as she issued a heartbreaking message to daughter Madeleine on the eve of the second anniversary of her disappearance"
"Kate told the BBC how she still returns to the resort in private."I do go back, maybe once or twice a year. I still walk those streets , and, I guess, try and look for answers. It helps me most of the time."
Gerry said "it's hard, it's really hard, it's by far the toughest day of the year ,Madeleine's Birthday -her 11th, - on 12th May.With tears welling, Kate
added, she is due to start Secondary School in September.
"The couple spoke of their frustration that the search for Madeleine was being hampered by a lack of co-operation between British and Portugese Police
"To us it makes sense that the two forces work together."
The couple plan to mark tomorrows anniversary with prayers in their home village.

Notice it is still Me. Me, Me........not a word of thanks to the suckers who have financed the fund, bought merchandise, even posters for Holidaymakers around Europe to pin them to trees.

Sorry folks but I'm sniggering at the double meaning of "walking the streets".

I managed to keep a straight face for ... must've been all of two seconds!
But why the streets? Are we to be convinced that the answer to the Maddie mystery actually lies in the streets?
I think not.
And as her visits are secret and private and even missed by the early-rising fishermen (and yet curiously not missed by a conveniently placed snapper), I doubt whether anyone will be rushing out of their front door to give her a clue ...

Re: Daily Express 2nd May
It must be a misprint for seventh; the reference to Madeleine being now almost 11 is correct.

My mistake, the article does say the "seventh". The Author ,David Pilditch does in fact quote from previous articles, the BBC interviews and ITV, the fought back tears is from a TV report on 1st may....well spotted wjk
Looks like Pilditch has plageurised the article from other reports and never interviewed them except the photo of Kate is the latest, the one with the long straight hair.

See posts above, Panda. NBY thinks its just possibly a missprint so it may be a new article.

Hi wjk.....No, I was right....Kate fought back tears was taken from a TV interview, probably during the seventh year. "Madeleine was 3 when she disappeared "was taken from a BBC interview, two seperate interviews. Cheeky B that Pilditch , on the top corner of the front page is the inevitable photo of Madeleine in the red dress with the heading "We will never give up on our Madeleine "........... Mum's emotional appeal , see page seven.

Another gem from the Express and James Murray.
Morning NBY, James Murray is the Express Senior reporter , Clarence has been very busy hasn't he, making sure the 7th Anniversary gets maximum Press.
Five months later Dawn and her friend awoke to find phones, cash and credit cards had been taken from their bedroom.
Dawn said: “It could well have been the same people who burgled us before, they seemed to know the layout.”
Two girls sleeping in the same room and they never heard a thing???
