Robert Murat - Yes or No?

Who thinks or feels that Robert Murat is involved in this, despite the payout he had from the Express and his continued assertions that he is not involved.

I do not think he is involved in what happened to Madeleine.

I don't think he had anything to do with Maddie's demise.  I do think he's shady however.

I don't believe he had anything to do with Madeleine and I don't believe he's shady.

I don't get the feeling that he had anything to do with her demise but feel that he could have had a hand in what happened after. He does come across as being shady and a little bit dodgy.

I don't believe that he had anything to do with what happened to Madeleine. I have no idea whether he is shady or not.

same here , think he was nieve and helped more than we know , ok he might not have done anything at all with madeleine but i still feel help was needed but who ?

Thousands, probably millions, of grown men access online porn. Not sure if it equals shady though. Or is there something else he is supposed to have looked at on his computer?

But there is the fact that he looks very like David Payne. Now this raises a question potentially with whom Yvonne Martin actually thought she recognised perhaps? And both men have links to Exeter.

However, no independent witnesses so far as I know to say they saw Murat hanging around the apartments on night of 3rd May. But then he has no independent witness either to say he wasn't hanging around.

Tanner says she saw him and Murat's mother says he was with her all night.

I am keeping an open mind still.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say that his creditable desire to help, combined with a somewhat over-developed trait of nosiness, led him to hang around, perhaps talk too much and ask too many questions.
With hindsight, that probably didn't do him any favours and he left himself wide open for the likes of Lori Campbell and the Tapas Mob to point their pointy fingers in his direction.

Murat may have his secrets. Most of us do.
But I don't believe that his being a main player in the demise and disappearance of Madeleine McCann is one of them.

There were allegations made against Murat that where never proven and as best as i can remember the police had to return his computers didnt they ?

He looks 'shady' to me but that doesn't make him guilty of anything.

You would have to prove a link to mccanns,i believe, prior to that holiday to implicate Murat in any part of that conspiracy.

For me it is almost certain that the mccanns would have needed access to another property with a fridge/freezer.They would have needed some help with this.
Apartment 5j has been previously mentioned as the original sniffer dogs showed some interest in that.

I believe Murat and Michaela Walczuch had business with MW and may have been able to get keys.Thats as far as it goes at the moment.

Jurys out on Murat for me.

Agree with every word of that.

I'd lean more towards, yes, he was involved in some way.
My theory is that he was handed the 'blue sports bag' and he stored it in one of his properties, then when JT pointed the finger at him, then it was handed back hence, the Huelva trip and the traces left in the hire car.

I don't think he was involved in Madeleine's death but, based solely on Gerry McCann's response when asked if he knew Robert Murat, but I do think he knows something about what happened afterwards. I also think that Gerry is so manipulative that his response to reporters might just have been to throw suspicion on Murat to cover his (and Kate's) behind. So that is my dilemma; I am stuck between the two unfavourable alternatives.

Murat has nothing whatsoever to do with this. In fact, I think it is the only thing that both investigation teams agree on.

Murat was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I have the original files (not the translated ones) and all the analysis on his computer came clean: 'Nothing was found of relevance to the case.'

I may be wrong but I believe that beastiality porn was supposedly found on this computer. (not sure if that's spelt correctly).
