Radio 2 news
Just heard something on the Radio 2 news - along the lines of 'the police will be undertaking substantial work on the Madeleine McCann case in the coming weeks., led by the Portugese police'....
Just found this http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-27514800

Re: Radio 2 news
Thanks Roasted Arizona,
Note the glaringly obvious timeline errors. I'm surprised at the BBC.
20:30 Kate and Gerry McCann leave their apartment to have dinner at a Tapas bar....they arrived about 8pm
21:05 Gerry McCann checks on Madeleine and her siblings
22:00 A man is seen carrying a child wearing pyjamas heading towards the ocean........the Man was just passing by , nothing in the statement to suggest the man was heading towards the Beach.
22:00 Kate McCann raises the alarm that Madeleine has gone missing

All evil child snatchers living in lairs will be shaking in their shoes. Let's hope the investigation moves forward in a sensible way.

An extract from Redwoods' comments ,
"Similarly, this should not be seen as a sign that the investigation is nearing a conclusion. I fully expect that there will be much more work to do when this particular phase of activity comes to an end. It is helpful that any reporting of activity in Portugal is set in this context."
He has to be joking......if this investigation turns up nothing, the Portugese will close the case and that's that.!!!

In other words there will be lots of activity and reporting. But real progress. Well that's another matter.

But can the Portuguese close down SY's quite separate investigation?

Of course, if they find anything of use, it will need to be carefully evaluated before being somehow

SY can only operate in Portugal via the court and the PJ. The court has reportedly already blocked some SY requests so I guess the answer would in practice be "Yes". SY can huff and puff as much as they like but if they can't convince the Portugese court they are going somewhere of substance they are reduced to little more than powerless huffers and puffers.

Re: Radio 2 news
yes Powerless huffers and puffers who when they cant get their way tell the media and rubbish the PJ along with a report from the anguished K and G. Someone should really point out to the Fundraiser in Chief and Mark Rowley that first name basis in the media is not only not professional it looks lke theyre actually working for the McCs. Or are they?
