Just looking at the Belgian results right now. Support for the Flemish Nationalists has shot right up and they are just a bunch of Fascist thugs! It seems to be the same in every country! Very worrying! And how the hell did UKIP manage to get a seat in Scotland?!

It was reported on the early morning news that there was now an anti EU faction in Germany of all places. France had perhaps the most startling result when the National Front took 25% of the vote.Iris wrote:Just looking at the Belgian results right now. It can only be a reflection of each country's electorate showing their dissatisfaction with the EU, imo.
As for Scotland and the UKIP seat?

People are stupid and have learned nothing from History. The results in many countries, France especially, are shameful and I don't really care about the reasons behind them. Thank God that where I live good sense has prevailed and the fascist bastards had 0,5% of the votes.

The BNP were completely trashed here in the UK, Nick Griffin losing his MEP seat.

Iris, it is like a World Wide Malaise now and where will it all end??? At least once a week there is a Report on some Country having an uprising . The Syrian Refugees in various Countries are so huge the Aid workers can't feed them all and are appealing to more Countries for Aid. Turkey, Thailland , Nigeria ,
Europe Asia and Africa that's how far the "Arab Spring " has spread recently.

Even German Eurosceptics gain votes in Germany!!

Angela Merkel will be worried by this, she did not win outright victory at the German General Election and had to join forces with other Parties . Now I suspect she will not have support to lend any more money to EU Countries.
When the EU crisis first broke there was talk of a breakaway group forming in the Northern Countries of Europe , maybe this will happen now.
