Drunken Babysitter Jailed for 11 months

Clearly this child was older than Maddie was, because she could use a phone to phone Mum at work and say she wasn't being looked after properly. Now look at it this way. If the McCanns had left the kids with a similar babysitter, one who didn't even go down to a Tapas bar for a meal but sat in the house and got drunk, would they have considered that to be "reasonable" babysitting?

As doctors, they know full well that it was not responsible.  If they became aware of one of their patients doing similar, they would be duty bound to report them.

However, in the McCann's world the rules are for everyone else, not them.

That's it exactly "chrissie", they would be duty bound to report others but excuse themselves for the same crime and have gone on championing themselves in the cause to find missing children.

Nah, they'd probably sue the babysitter for endangering their precious children...
