Democracy Sturgeon style.
I thought that we were given a referendum in order for the people to decide on a topic too far reaching for our elected representatives to decide by themselves In the case of Eire, when they had a referendum on the EU, they gave the wrong answer, and so they were asked again what they wanted, and second time around gave the answer the politicians wanted. Now it seems Nicola Sturgeon is getting set to do the same. There was a referendum on Scottish Independence, and the Scots answered the question 55% to 45%. That wasn't what Salmond, Sturgeon and co wanted, so they are putting it their manifesto that they want another one. In the same speech, Sturgeon also claimed the people were in charge not the politicians. That only seems to be the case when we do whatever it is they want us to.
In any case, since she wants independence from England, by what right is she offering to join with labour to keep Cameron out of Downing Street?

This is exactly right Katertaif, talk about wanting your cake and eating it. She is only interested in Scotland and to hell with the rest of us. God help us if she and her ' not so merry band' join up with Ed Miliband in a coalition. She is so aggressive and undermines everyone she speaks to. I was desperately hoping that she would fall off her killer heels She seems to be gaining popularity, so they say. Same thing happened with Nick Clegg at the debates of the last election and look what we got! Goodness knows why people could not see through him as he was saying one thing one night and the opposite the next.
As Nigel Farage said " if she has a coalition with Miliband, Scotland the tail will be wagging England the dog'

She's an old dragon....we need to send St George to slay her...unfortunately George's last name isn't Miliband

If Ms Sturgeon has her way, and I think it is more a case of when rather than if. The UK will no longer exist. What then will be her interest in ENGLISH politics. As it is, she is saying to Milliband in effect, sod the voters, I'll put you in number 10 with my tartan army regardless of how they vote. Not only that, but tonight when interviewed by Kay Burley she indicated that she would tell him what policies he must follow. Is this democracy SNP style?
What would be the penalties if Eddie baby does not obey? She would obviously withdraw her support from him. Now if the Scottish and English Labour supporters would not forgive Milliband if by default Cameron forms another government. Would it not be true to say that equally if she withdraws her support, and again Cameron gets in by default the self same Scottish Labour supporters will not forgive her either? I didn't say English supporters because they would no longer be of interest in her new fragmented country

I rather think that when thousands of defence based and support jobs go for a ball of chalk from the Holy Loch, and alternative employment is hard if not impossible to find. When the GI's with dollars burning holes in their pockets also disappear from the scene, the people of Scotland may realise that the truth behind the Samond/Sturgeon rhetoric had more to do with their carers than the good of Scotland
