We'll call in private detectives - The Sun (August 30/17)
"Madeleine McCanns parents to enlist private investigators to continue search for missing tot". The Mccanns are going to "dip" into the fund to pay for a new team. Money has been set aside in a "restricted" fund. This sounds more and more like a slush fund. What about paying their debt to Mr. Amaral for starters.

Over £500,000 set aside and the Sun described that as "unexplained." Could be for the fund's objective of supporting the McCann family or maybe so that all of the money doesn't disappear in paying court costs. However, it was the McCanns personally who sued Mr Amaral, so they are personally responsible for paying the costs.

Why is the court which found in favour for Amaral not chasing the McCanns to pay the money awarded? The McCanns seem to treat the law as their own God given right to disregard if they don't agree with any adverse findings.

I know the money they owe Mr. Amaral should come from their personal funds, but the McCanns appear to behave as though the fund is their "personal" fortune to be used for their "personal" expenses. I think the time has come for them, or the extended family, to make good on the "we'll sell the house if we have to" to meet their obligation to Mr. Amaral.
