Kate McCann Closes Down Online Shop - Daily Mail
An "exclusive" DM article is now online which says the online site selling all that junk has now been closed because of few donations/sales. Looks like another ploy to get public support once again to contribute to the fund.

MADELEINE McCann's mum has shut down the online fundraising shop which helped highlight her plight to find the missing girl.
Kate McCann wrote on the store: "Unfortunately due to many commitments and pressures, I am unable at this time to attend to website orders.
"We greatly appreciate your support. Thank you to everyone who has kindly donated to Madeleine's Fund through our Online Store (donations can still be made via one of the methods below).
"Your support means a lot to us.
"Your kindness and generosity is no less appreciated however and continues to buoy us up.
"Thank you again."
It comes amid claims that donations to the family's fund have dwindled.
A source said: 'The idea that money is still flooding in is just wrong. Donations dried up a long time ago. At times the story comes into the news a few kind people send in a quid or two but their is nothing of any real value."
Madeleine McCann disappeared just days shy of her fourth birthday during a family holiday to Portugal in 2007.
The public response was overwhelming in terms of grief, fascination and a desperation to find her.
This goodwill translated into an outpouring of donations to the fund set up to “leave no stone unturned”, which topped £1.8million within a few months.
Yet now, after 11 years of failed investigations all over the world and lengthy legal battles, the donations have diminished.

Oh My Goodness, perhaps even those councils where the shops are located are refusing to pay the rates for them also...

Re: Kate McCann Closes Down Online Shop - Daily Mail
For me it all goes back to my original question of many years ago, 'why on earth would the parents of a missing child need funds to cover legal expenses?' unless of course they KNEW they would be prosecuted for 'something' to do with Madeleine's "disappearance". What a pity that people who thought they were donating to the "search" ended up contributing to the McCanns' legal pursuit of Mr. Amaral, the person who has done the most in seeking justice for Madeleine.
