I hadnt seen that one....you can feel the pain when Audrey is trying to say that plea....too sad!!!
Thanks for that Antoinette!
The first time I heard about Amy was on the radio and the guy who took the photos of the benefit (Mark Peters) was the one who mentioned it on air...I called him and he told me Audrey would be talking in the afternoon on the air...

I really feel for her family. It has become like one of us gone missing now.
You know what would be lovely? To have Amy register here and to be able to say hallo to her and tell her off for having everyone worried.....
Sorry, i am feeling quite emotional about this, she feels like 'one of us'?? do you know what I mean?? :-(
Eddie I know exactly what you mean and now i've met Audrey I feel for her even more!

I'm sorry but I have to say that Chris is NOT being truthful on here...he said Audrey flys to Ireland and only sees Dean for a few hours????
What a load of bull. I know this is incorrect!

Re: RTE REPORTS
I can second that. As soon as Audrey arrives home Dean stays with her in Audrey's mam's until she goes home again. There are another few discrepencies with this interview also. Christopher said the last time he spoke to Amy was on June 7th when she was home. She wasn't home in June. The last time Amy was home in Ireland was in February 2007 for her birthday when she went to the Jazz restaurant with Audrey's family to celebrate her birthday. In another interview on the afternoon show Christopher said the last time he spoke to Amy was September 2007. So which was it.

I'm astounded at this. And its not like we can blame the press for saying this out of context as its his own voice. Judging by that audio it sounds like he's trying to get even with his ex wife for their past. He should concentrate on his daughter only and put the past behind him.

Re: RTE REPORTS
another thing mentioned in that interview. The private investigator is dealing with all aspects of this case. In Ireland and in Spain. One problem though, he has never been to Spain and the civil guardia have never heard of him. So how could he be dealing with everything that is going on in Spain if he has never even spoken to the police in Spain. He says he has found some discrepencies with this case so he has obviously been given information by different people. So why is he witholding evidince from the police. That's against the law isn't it?

eddie wrote:You tend to forget that there are 15/16 year-old girls out there who are missing Amy, just as much as her family are. These poor girls must be feeling so sad, so alone, so desparate for news of their freind Amy.
It is truly heartbreaking. That video brings home to you, just how big a hole is left by a young, popular girl, with her whole life ahead of her.
I hope she comes home soo. Those words seem so useless, but I really do mean them xxx
The words arnt useless, everything you say is true. Its not only Amy's family that miss her there is a huge circle of people out there who want her home safe and well. Including people who dont even know her.

Spain to step up missing investigation Tuesday, 8 January 2008
Spanish police investigating the disappearance of an Irish girl in the Costa del Sol have organised a major search of the area beginning tomorrow.
15-year-old Amy Fitzpatrick, who is originally from Donaghmede in Dublin, disappeared on New Year's Day while she was walking home from a friend's house in Fuengirola.
She had not been in school in Spain since the summer of 2006 and the school principal today said that Amy was not happy there and found the lessons difficult 13-year-old Ashley Rose, who was the last person to see her, said on a number of occasions Amy and other young girls had been offered lifts by strangers in the area.
Her school friends in Spain have been handing out leaflets with Amy's photograph and description seeking information and offering a reward.
Amy Fitzpatrick went to Spain three years ago and lives there now with her mother, brother and stepfather.
Her father Christopher yesterday issued a statement from his home in Dublin, where the family appealed for anyone who may be holding Amy to let her go and asked her to get to a phone, if possible, and contact gardaí or Spanish police.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has been in contact with Amy's family and has offered all possible consular assistance.
