What is Happening to Britain?

It seems that the UK is going further and quicker down the pan. Gordy is planning to sell off half the country, postal workers are planning strike action which if it goes ahead could force the closure of hundreds of small companies through lost revenue, Christmas deliveries of cards and packages will be delayed, BA is planning to axe another 1700 jobs and freeze the pay of new starters, millions are still on the dole after six months and it is claimed that a whole generation will be on benefits, the pound is falling faster than an absailer without the rope. Is this really the return to the good old 1970s, cos it certainly feels like it. Strikes were the norm then and it seems as though it is now. If you don't get what you want the answer is to strike. Maybe it is time for a change. Let's see if any other party can get the country out of the shit is it wallowing in. I seem to remember when the Tories were ousted out of power by labour they left the country in a healthy situation. The economy was strong and we had manufacturing and more importantly people had jobs with prospects. Redundancy and losing your job wasn't on the horizon. Now we have a country which is verging on third world and with seemingly no hope of climbing out of the huge hole our esteemed lying and thieving politicians have dug. Will the last person to leave the country please switch off the light? Such a shame that a once proud country should be allowed to die without dignity.

I have a horrible feeling it's far too late for the UK. We are bound by so much pc stuff, we have a Gvt who just don't seem to get the message and we have to wait for a general election to get rid of them. What happened to the fighting spirit of our grand-fathers? We aren't even allowed to have demonstrations any more. The world I knew as a child is gone. Will Cameron be any better....somehow I doubt it.

For a few years now I've thought we started celebrating Christmas rather too early...now I'm all for it as so many towns and shops are dumbing down their decorations in case they offend a certain section of the community. I'm even thinking of rigging up loudspeakers on my house and playing Christmas carols from now until December 26th

Without any offence or nastiness intended or aimed at our Scottish members, is it only me, or has anyone else noticed that there a preposterously large number of Scottish type people in the Labour Government here in England?

I must strongly object this situation, they have their own Government up in Scotland, why should we allow them to send their incompetent rejects down to us?
