There are already 10,000 DVDs out there with the people who bought the newspaper!

Most i have spoken with , freinds and family say they have stopped taking interest in the case , feeling that their is no point in doing so. Because they feel the truth will never be allowed to come out. I just hope they are wrong , and that its true the government have in fact distanced themselves.

Their are as we know on this forum , many questions with answers that do not make any sense.

will they send out letters from carter-ruck to every person whp bought the paper with the dvd demanding they totally ignore its contents,not view it again and destroy it using fire and acid before bleaching their eyeballs and heading off to the nearest re-education camp to have any and all thoughts of disbelief in the abduction theory erased from their memories and the new truth of what happened that night burned into their minds. Also whilst they are being re-educated they will be programmed to hand over all spare cash to the fund and to denounce any disbelievers of the mccanns innocence to the police and the mccanns private investigators.
Anyone who still thinks the mccanns are involved will be publicly denounced , vilified and smeared with all sorts of allegations until they are forced to move to a small island in the arctic or until they recant their heresy and plead for forgiveness from saints kate and gerry along with a large donation to their mortgage fund

Damaso says he understands, as a journalist, that the case is not closed, but no further inquiries by the police since it was shelved.

Cheer up ! The Genie is out of the bottle and nothing can put him back inside.
Every court case leads to news and coverage of the case, examination of details and so on. If the case is lost there will be an appeal, more publicity, if there is the libel trial for the 1.2 Million, well more publicity, the truth will come out, whether it is piece by piece or by the floodgates opening, there is no way back.
If the MC's had any sense (yes I know ...), they would drop the court cases, I find it hard to believe that they don't see the damage that they are doing themselves.
Had they not tried to ban the book, honestly speaking, how many copies would have been sold ? A few thousand maybe. How many have been downloaded since the banning order ? Many more than that I would imagine.
Going down the 'Legal path' is pure self-destruct, and beautifully ironic, trying to use the law to escape the law, and making more enemies every time they try to shut up and denigrate hard working, honest police officers, of all countries.

I can only be optimistic about the (eventual) result, the only question for me is how long will it take.

would have been great if we could have all been there to offer our support,
im sure Amaral knows hes got a lot of british and portuguise supporters,
just hope we get a positive outcome in all of this.

I didnt think Meredith would get justice, but she did, so lets be optimistic today, think off mr amaral, he is the one actually sitting there, in court, fighting for his right to speak.
