You can't expect the general public to be genuinely concerned for 100,000 missing children & their families Amber, that would be just too much to ask of their conspicuous compassion The general public's concern for missing children & their families will always be a "selective process" based upon age & gender of the missing child & the social status/nationality of the missing child's parents/family.

Did anything ever become of the search on the land around York University? That's gone awfully quiet, lately.

Oh not all of them but perhaps 5 or 6 in the news would be normal.....I blame the press for being the most selective !
Re: MISSING CHILDREN ( www.lbc.co.uk )
And today, the UK which has more missing children than any other European Union member state, introduces an alert system for missing children. Portugal introduced such a system in 2002, France in 2006, 10 member states out of 17 had opted for the French system by January 2009.

The press are only selective because they know what sells the most to their "selective" audience Amber. If our society wasn't so discriminatory neither would our press be imo.
