It seems that in the eye of the sympathetic British public the crime of "abduction" negates the crime of neglect. It shouldn't, the initial neglect could lead to all sorts of harm to 3 small children left on their own, never mind abduction. How these two have escaped prosecution for neglect is beyond me, it is not rocket science, they admitted leaving their children all under the age of 4 in an unlocked apartment aware of the dangers of fire etc yet they did it anyway - and we are supposed to feel sorry for them!, save your sympathy for little Madeleine (god knows what happend to her).
