This is being discussed on sky now and the consensus is that we are wrong and the McCanns have suffered because of Amaral's book and video .

A Reporter outside the courthouse says this Libel case has been going on for 5 years !!!!!

Both the McCanns will give a "victims impact statement" in Court and if they win all of the money will go into the search for Madeleine.

It may be many months before the result is known.

Kate & Gerry enter the court like frikkin A List celebrities,  Kate with her vice grip on Gerry.  Eamonn Holmes stating we are all Conspiracy Theorist - the "cash in the attic dude" stating on SkyNews - "the poor parents" the black haired idiot doing the same - I am fuming this morning,  will count to 10 relax deep breath and pray for good outcome.  I have tweeted 30times to Eamonn - Sky News,  felt like throwing my tea cup at my TV screen .............rant over....calming down ;)  fingers crossed everyone!

One good thing Robert did mention was the Title of the Truth of the Lie book!

Morning Karen, yes, Holmes and the Panel were very pro McCann. What would they have been like if SY had unearthed evidence of Madeleine being buried???

This judge has got to be completely impartial and I hope she has spent a long time on researching the Files etc.

Although to my knowledge the 'Truth of the Lie' is still not available to buy in Portuguese High Street book stores, the book and the English Gag, are available to buy on this website and they can be bought in English.

Good morning Panda, as usual these sycophants, don't mention poor Madeleine, as usual the McCanns are treated as the victims.

Once again the McCanns are using Madeleine as a cash cow, to try to gain from their corrupt lawsuit. We all know that if the McCanns win, they will put this money into Madeleine's fund. However what some people don't know, is very little of this money, if at all any of it, will be spent on searching for Madeleine. The terms of the fund state, that the McCanns are able to use this money to aid their finances and Clarence stated in the video below, that the McCanns wider family can also use Madeleine's fund money, to aid their finances.

Talking of money, I'd like to see a breakdown of the taxpayers money, that has been used in the review and now investigation, by Redwood and his team. I can't see anything that they have done, that has warranted them spending millions of pounds.

Yes Jeanmonroe, I hope the Judge , like us, takes no notice of Redwood......first of all it was persons of interest for which the Portugese had to get
permission , but no more was mentioned about these "pings" . then we had numerous sightings around the World involving Police from other Countries having to visit suspects on behalf of Redwood, nothing. Then we had Crimewatch ....again nothing. Now we have digging, so far nothing. No wonder Redwood is "retiring" (meaning sacked) at the end of the Year.....he has cost the Taxpayer millions. Not to mention the cost to Portugal who can ill afford it and the reputation PDL will be stuck with ....all because a couple of Doctors failed to check on their children properly and left them alone every night.

I can't see how the McCanns can possible win this lawsuit, especially as they've based it on the contents of Goncalo Amaral's book, 'The Truth of the Lie.'

If the Judge, finds for the McCanns, she will be going against the decisions that the Appeals and Supreme Court Judges made, back in 2010. Both Judges read Snr Amaral's book and both Judges agreed that there was nothing in the book, that warranted a banning of it. If they had seen one sentence, where the McCanns could have suffered, the book would have been banned.

A witness has already stated in court, that others wrote books with similar content to Snr Amaral's book and the McCanns have never tried to ban their books. The Judge must take this into consideration along with the flimsy evidence of the McCanns witnesses, who hadn't read Goncalo Amaral's book, or watched the documentary.
