Great verdict, kitti. What sealed it for me was how Knox lied about the barman. International arrest warrant coming soon, I hope.

Knox will never get extradited and she knows it....USA don't believe in the 'double jeopardy'.
As for him.......spewing his guts for the future.....he won't be going down alone believe me, he will be dragging her down albeit in name only but he will spill the beans on her.
I have always believed they were guilty and it was SHE that planned all off it.
She's evil and dangerous.

The sister of murdered student Meredith Kercher has spoken of the “fear and terror” she must have felt on the night she died.
Stephanie Kercher made the comments in a documentary about Amanda Knox, who was reconvicted of murdering the 21-year-old in the Italian town of Perugia in 2007 last month following a second trial.
Only one person – Rudy Hermann Guede – is currently behind bars for her murder after American Knox and her former boyfriend, Italian Raffaele Sollecito, successfully appealed against their original guilty verdicts.
Afterwards Knox returned home to America and has so far refused to go back to Italy to serve her jail term following her second conviction, saying she will only be extradited “kicking and screaming”.
The BBC Three documentary Is Amanda Knox Guilty? also hears from lawyers and experts from both the defence and the prosecution teams and contains the audio of Knox’s prison interrogation after her arrest when she was asked why she told police that her manager from the local bar where she worked had committed the crime.
Ms Kercher told the programme she feels her sister “has been forgotten” in the media storm surrounding Knox.
“Mez has been forgotten in all of this,” she said. “The media photos aren’t really of her. There’s not a lot about what actually happened in the beginning. So it is very difficult to keep her memory alive in all of this.”
She said her sister did not deserve what happened to her. “Everything that Meredith must have felt that night. Everything she went through. The fear and the terror and not knowing why. She didn’t deserve that. No one deserves that,” she said.
“We all definitely want some sort of closure. Just having an end of the Italian justice system and knowing that’s the final decision, and then we can start to remember just Meredith.”
Speaking of when she last saw Meredith alive as she prepared to study in Italy as part of her Leeds University course, Ms Kercher said: “She was very excited about coming to Italy, looking forward to learning about Italian culture. Seeing the city of Perugia and making new friends. She really fought to be here. She wanted to be here.
“We were just talking on the sofa and having a little cuddle of goodbye and I just remember her suddenly crying and saying that she was going to be sad to go but she was excited to come and I remember being quite taken aback and I thought, ‘Don’t make me sad. I’ll miss you but you’ll go and have fun’.”
Brother Lyle Kercher also spoke of struggling to cope with Meredith’s death and said of the new guilty verdicts: “It’s not the end of it. It’s another chapter moving things forward.”
He told the programme: “Anybody losing anyone close is hard, losing someone so young and the way we did is obviously 100 times worse, and on top of that to have all the media attention that has gone on for so long makes it very difficult to cope with.”
Meredith, from Coulsdon, Surrey, was discovered with her throat slashed in her bedroom at the house she shared with fellow exchange student Knox on 2 November, 2007.
Prosecution lawyer Manuela Comodi was also interviewed for the documentary, and said it would have been “impossible” for just one person to have killed her.
“One person couldn’t, all at the same time, hold Meredith still and hold back her hands – because there are very few defensive wounds – inflict those wounds with a smaller knife and then give her the fatal blow with the larger knife. It is impossible.
“The principal evidence was mixed blood traces from which were extracted mixed DNA of Amanda and Meredith.”
Last month Knox was sentenced to 28 years and six months while Sollecito was jailed for 25 years.
The pair were originally found guilty of murder in 2009, and were handed jail terms totalling more than 50 years before being cleared two years later. The appeal court ordered a fresh trial in March last year.
Guede, a drug dealer, is serving a 16-year sentence.

Re: Murder of Meredith Kercher
They were cleared on the DNA on the knife.....nothing else.
And just for clarification .......Knoxs defence refuse to have the knife tested again......the prosecutors DID test the knife again and it was found to have Merediths DNA on the knife as well as Knoxs.
It was never disputed by Sollecito that the knife had Merediths blood on it as he said she went over there for dinner one night and whilst cutting up fish, he caught Merediths finger and cut it.
He should off kept his mouth shut as Meredith had NEVER been to his apt let alone had dinner there.

Re: Murder of Meredith Kercher
I watched 'Is Amanda Knox Guilty?' the other night Kitti. I thought it presented a balanced view of the evidence. One thing that struck me was when they played the tape of Amanda falsely accusing Mumumba in her interview, then trying to explain it at the trial. How can anybody believe what she was saying? How can you 'imagine' yourself at the scene of a crime, describing the screams you heard? Nonsense!

Knox is changing her tactics
Italian Raffaele Sollecito, convicted with former lover Amanda Knox of the grizzly murder of a British student, and his lawyer Giulia Bongiorno give a press conference on July 1st, 2014 in Rome. Sollecito's new defense strategy comes as their legal teams prepare to appeal the couple's murder convictions in the death of Knox's former roommate Meredith Kercher before Italy's Supreme Court next year. Knox and Sollecito were first convicted of the murder in 2009, then acquitted in 2011 on appeal. The supreme court last year ordered a re-trial, leading to the guilty verdicts issued on January 31, 2014. Raffaele Sollecito reasserted his innocence today as his attorneys continued to distance him from his ex-girlfriend Amanda Knox (Photo : Getty Images/Filippo Monteforte)
In light of Raffaele Sollecito changing his tactics as he prepares his own appeals case for the murder of Meredith Kercher, Amanda Knox is rumored to be considering a new approach for her case as well.
Raffaele Sollecito Changes His Appeal?
According to a July 10 article on Ground Report, Knox, 26, is now considering a change in her case where she blames the entire murder on Sollecito, saying he committed the actual murder, but she did witness the events--and tried to help him cover up his crimes.
Citing unnamed sources, the article claims that Knox has opened up to her lawyers and PR team, saying on the night of the murder, she had gone back to the villa she was sharing with Kercher in Perugia, Italy, to purchase drugs from Rudy Guede. However, when she arrived, Meredith became angry with her over money that had been stolen from her room, forcing a scared Knox to leave and return with Sollecito 30 minutes later.
Raffaele Sollecito Claims He Is 'Guilty By Association?'
The report claims Knox now says upon her and Sollecito returning to the home, he tried to calm Kercher down without success, and when she became violent and tried attacking Knox and Sollecito with a knife, he managed to wrestle it away from her and lost control in the struggle, accidentally slashing Kercher's throat in the process. Knox reportedly now claims she witnessed the entire thing from the kitchen of the home, covering her ears because of the screams.
Knox reportedly does admit to helping Sollecito stage a scene that would set Guede up for murder and burglary, but she has only come clean now because she had been in love with Sollecito, and felt betrayed by his recently changed story.
In a press conference with his attorneys in Rome on July 1, Sollecito added new claims that his former girlfriend was not with him the entire night of Kercher's murder, destroying her alibi that she had been at his apartment the entire time--whereas he never left his home.
"Only a madman or a criminal would change versions, and I'm neither mad nor criminal," he said at the conference. "There's proof that I was at my place and I was watching Japanese cartoons."
However, though he has amended the one-time shared alibi, Sollecito did maintain he believed Knox was innocent, despite anomalies with how she acted the night of the murder.
"I always believed, and still believe, that Amanda Marie Knox is innocent," he said.
Knox, Sollecito and Guede were all arrested in connection to Kercher's murder back in 2007. Guede has been serving a 16-year prison sentence in Italy, though Knox and Sollecito both pleaded not guilty and were later acquitted in 2011.
However, a new trial reportedly focused on DNA evidence concluded this January with a second guilty verdict for the pair. Sollecito was sentenced to 25 years in prison, while Knox received 28.
The two are currently preparing their final chances to appeal, with cases scheduled to be heard either later this year or in early 2015.
If the report is true and Knox is now changing the story to implicate her ex-boyfriend as the sole criminal in the case, it would be a radical change from her past defenses of him, where she insisted he was innocent, and only dragged into the case because he had been dating her at the time.
Mere weeks after their reconvictions earlier this year, Knox took to her personal blog to maintain her stance that while she also was not guilty of Kercher's murder, it was wrong for prosecutors to drag her ex-boyfriend's name into the case as well.
"As tenuous as the case is against me, it is illogical and unfair that Raffaele should be held legally answerable for it," she wrote in February. "...The only reason that he has been dragged into this is because he happens to be my alibi. He is collateral damage in the unreasonable, irresponsible, and unrelenting scapegoating of the prosecution's grotesque caricature that is 'Foxy Knoxy.'"

Sollecito is preparing to throw Knox under the bus..

Will truth about Amanda Knox be revealed by Sollecito?
Photo provided to media; Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito
Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito are preparing for a battle to keep from spending the next 25 to 30 years of their lives in prison, but Sollecito is distancing himself from the woman accused of participating in the murder of Meredith Kercher. Knoxy's former Italian lover is not only distancing himself from her, but he's seeking his own separate appeals trial in hopes of keeping himself out of prison. This Wednesday news report confirms that the duo have all but gone their separate ways, which is a departure from their "thick-as-thieves" front over the course of the past several years.
Sollecito hasn't been very loyal to Knox in recent weeks. This news report reveals that he has admitted to not being with her the whole night when Meredith was killed, meaning their alibis are no longer matching (which has happened before, mind you). Things are adding up to indicate that Sollecito may throw Knox under the proverbial bus as a defense tactic -- a move that has to have Knox's camp nervous, considering she's trying to avoid an extradition request.
Speaking of avoiding extradition, Knox apparently still intends on fighting any extradition request from the Italian government, which means she probably still has the same idea that she had several weeks ago when she confirmed that she'd be a "fugitive" of the law if Italy requested her extradition. Do you think Amanda Knox is going to ultimately be extradited back to Italy to face the music over the murder of her former flatmate?

Thanks kitti, I thought this case was finished? I remember Knox did not go to Italy and presume she was charged in her absence.Knowing the U.S. will probably not agree on the grounds that she has already been found innocent , what happens next?

Re: Murder of Meredith Kercher
Knox was found guilty in her absence....they were both found guilty.
Now, the last throw off the dice is...The High Court of Appeal...this is what Sollecito is preparing for..Knox is busy preparing her lawyers to prevent her extradition to Italy, she already knows the Appeal will fail.. Sollecito is preparing his 'defence' to put forward a new alibi for himself to implicate Knox TOTALLY for the murder off Meredith, in other words, his new statement will say that he wasn't with Knox the whole night off the murder which if you remember in his very first statement he stated that he was at home, alone...he should off stuck to that in the beginning instead off being persuaded by Knox to give her an alibi.
He needs to tell the truth now before it's too late for him because after the appeal fails and he is in prison whatever he says will seem like sour grapes and Knox will play on that.
Tell the truth, he will still go down but Knox can't be allowed to walk free as I'm quite sure she instigated all this from the beginning with her jealousy and bitterness and he was dragged into this nightmare because off her ....she will do the same to him in a heartbeat in the same position.
