Re: Footie Thread...................
A man is sitting in a pub with his Jack Russell dog one Saturday afternoon. The football results are coming up on the television in the corner, “Liverpool 2, Tottenham Hotspur 1,” reads the announcer in his normal, rather sedate, voice.
Suddenly the Jack Russell dog jumps up and shouts out, “Oh, no, not again.”
The shocked landlord says, “That’s amazing. Why did he say that when the result was announced that Tottenham lost?”
“Because he’s a Spurs supporter,” the dog’s owner replies.
The landlord then asked what the dog says when Tottenham win a match, to which the man replied, “I don’t know. I’ve only had him three years!”

I was up at Spurs and decided to get a cup of tea from the burger van, I asked the guy if he could rustle me up a cup or a mug, and he replied: “Sorry mate no cups, they’re all at Arsenal, and the mugs are on the pitch!”

but if Spurs lose and Arsenal win then we will have same points plus we will still have an extra
game to play therefore we could end up by being 3 points ahead if you lose and we win both games.

Re: Footie Thread...................
Jd16 and cherry,i'm really not surprised you two are often up so late having sleepless nights,so many expectations and shattered dreams.
If you was to support a proper 'London' team with roots in the docks where men are men you would be able to shrug off such disappointments and just get yerselves down the pub and dust yerselves off.
If you was brung up under the Dickensian arches that are the Cold Blow Lane where your sustenance on a Saturday afternoon is a drippy nose burger and six pints of the best light ale you are able to take even the worst defeat on the chin and usually in several other painful places in the ensuing fracas.

Re: Footie Thread...................
well I was brought up on the Hammers initially, Im sure you know a lot
lioned about fights with the inter city firm, not that I was involved in anything like that of course
not believing in violence but changed my allegiance to the gunners
but no sleepless nights for me lately with Wilcotts fantastic hat trick to dream about, but as for jd, I think he must be having a nightmare just thinking about his lot on the training pitch! I've seen more action at the Harrods Sale!
