Re: Footie Thread...................
Well that was a very civilised performance from the fans and a very professional performance from the players ending Lutons dream of a quarter final place in the FA Cup.
Luton 0-3 Millwall
Meanwhile surely the games up for Arsen Wenger who will end the season once more without any silverware, the chance this year of winning the FA Cup was there for the taking yet wenger once more messes up team selection throwing away the opportunity to progress further.
Arsenal 0-1Blackburn
Oh dear me.
Luton 0-3 Millwall

Re: Footie Thread...................
So as it happens it looks like it was just as well Arsenal lost to Blackburn as it saves them from a greater humiliation in the next round.
FA Cup quarter final draw see's Millwall drawn at home to Blackburn. What a great opportunity for either of these clubs to get to Wembley in the semi's.Far to close to call but i think i 'd rather have got one of the Manchester clubs.

Re: Footie Thread...................
I think that Arsenal fans are getting a bit frustrated that they can no longer keep up with the Manchester clubs and chelski ! And the first thing to do is blame the manager.
Trouble is that Arsenal have a very firm business model and not only live within their income they also manage to pay off the massive cost of the stadium.Man utd are seriously in debt and constantly living on their 'brand' and city and chelski have billionaire owners ploughing money in.
If money = success then Arsenal will always finish fourth (or lower).Thats not to say that Wenger hasn't had the time or money to win something in the last few years. His mistake has been to under estimate the value of the domestic cup competitions to the fans at a time when anything else is clearly out of reach. The Prem league was finished at Xmas and Wenger must see they are miles behind the top Euro teams.
The way things are now apart from the occasional freakish event the Premiership and Champions league will never be won by any club trying to live within a sensible financial model, unless they are filling a stadium with 80000 fans every week.

Me support a London side, Nooooowayyyyyy.... I'm an ex Leicester City fan... Can't afford it anymore, last time I went down to shout myself hoarse we could get into the Kop for about 75p, a pasty cost 25p and the humiliation came free.

Leicester City actually have a very healthy attendance record for the Championship. And since they pinched Chris Wood from us they are scoring goals to.
