Re: Footie Thread...................
Going to be tough for Arsenal now there are going to be some big changes coming up i suspect.
Be good for Tottenham to finish third and that wont do for chelski either who will also have to rebuild for next season.
Think Spurs are very dependant on Bale think Adeybayor is past his best and one or two others like Scott Parker arn't up to that standard really but overall they probably just a couple players short of being very good.
They will miss Bale when he agrees to move south of the river.
Google John Marquis if you dont believe me.
Also i see those nasty Arsenal fans were missbehaving again...

The likeness is quite freaky Lioned! I had to double check this wasn't photoshopped! Where is c edwards and the professor when you need them Am sure we would get a full diagram relating to each point that their paid troll "fact' John Marquis is infact Gareth Bale

I totally agree with this. But....its the other players doing their job that allows Bale to have the freedom to be able to do his magic. What a player he is! As with anything in life that is successful it is Team work. Scott Parker has been fine but not up to his best I agree but then he has been out for many months but still not playing as well as he can imo. Adeybayor, was actually glad he got injured...now he has the contract he is like a QPR player

Its not over yet by a long shot...See in 5 games time. Arsenal were good today and by no means out of it but with just 10 games to go it is ours to lose....just like last season and remember what happened there

Just for the record i do wish Marquis could play like Gareth Bale.Unfortunately he's not up to Championship level and will probably end up at Gillingham which is why Kenny Jacket keeps bringing in loan players like Rob Hulse from QPR and the young Arsenal lad.

Tottenham 3-0 Inter Milan
Another great goal from the Millwall loanee ! I wish we could have him back for Sunday as our best players are crocked out.
Well done to Spurs but Bale is out for the second leg and they may still need a goal to settle the nerves !

FA Cup 6th Round............
Everton 0-3 Wigan
The toffees were so poor against a team that shouldn't even be playing football with a round ball, though very good they were today.

Re: Footie Thread...................
They came to a sticky end.
Millwall biggest game for a few years tomorrow and we got no fire power and best player injured so i
Lets see if we can do better than Arsenal against an average Blackburn side. But this is the FA Cup and the Millwall crowd will be up for this so anything can happen.
Hope not too much. if we loose but i will be
And either way i will be

Re: Footie Thread...................
Man U 2-2 Chelsea
Credit to Chelsea for a great second half performance and some great saves from the United keeper just kept them in the game.
Millwall 0-0 Blackburn
You wont see a more one sided goalless draw as Millwall dominated throughout and Millwall striker Rob Hulse missing an open goal means a difficult replay on Wednesday night at Ewood Park.
Anyway at least the Lions make the draw for the semi final of the FA Cup which you wont see very often.
Draw for FA Cup semi finals....
Millwall or Blackburn v Wigan
Man City v Man U or Chelsea
My moneys on City and Tevez but Millwall a good each way bet.

Re: Footie Thread...................
Thank you.It was a well deserved win as Millwall were much the better team.
It shows you what a funny old game football is as Millwall have beaten the team that knocked out Arsenal. And Arsenal tonight have beaten Bayern Munich 2-0 in the Champions League in Germany, sadly for their supporters they still go out of the competition on the away goals rule.
So now a chance for revenge for Millwall who play Wigan at Wembley, a repeat of the 'Auto windscreen final of 1999.
That was the competition for lower league clubs and i was there to see a very negative wigan team nick a goal in the third minute of injury time to win that game 1-0.
The attendance that day at a crumbling old Wembley stadium was 55000 of which 47000 were from Millwall,a right old fashioned cockney knees up it was and this will be another great day out for everyone and their mates from South London.

Re: Footie Thread...................
Well the big game tonight is Inter Milan v Spurs.
I do think i said after the first leg that Spurs may need an away goal and that is exactly whats happened.Adebayor just got it so now Inter need two,was going to watch the chelsea game but think i'll watch the end of this one now.
Eta 4-4 so Spurs win on away goal so well done to them.
Got to say the way this tournaments going its looking winnable for Spurs.
They may wish to bare in mind that this could be a good year to win it as Millwall are only one game away from qualifying for next Europa league.
Funny old game init !

Re: Footie Thread...................
Just for completeness i better say well done to Chelsea who win 3-1 to beat Steaua Bucharest at the bridge.
If they can avoid each other a Spurs Chelsea final wouldn't be a suprise.
You just knew Torres would miss that penalty.

Re: Footie Thread...................
And it would be amiss of me to not mention Newcastle who beat some team that i can't be bothered to try and spell,by a late goal to nil.
So three English teams in the last eight of the Europa league.
It is good to see English teams doing well even if it is Europe's 'reserve' league.
