Re: Sunday Express - Tapas 7 to be interviewed by SY
gillyspot wrote:It does state the Tapas 7 "are expecting to be called for interview requests as soon as officers feel they could assist the investigation" so not immediately I would think.
Notice it is the Express printing it. Go Desmond!
Agreeing with you, Gillyspot - this could be the Express making something out of nothing just to increase sales. A journo may have asked them 'D'you think you might be interviewed by SY as part of the review?' and the response 'Yes, if they feel we could be of help, they may well request to interview us and we'd be happy to assist, of course blah blah blah'.... could have produced this headline.
I guess.
But somehow, it doesn't feel like that.

Wouldn't it just be poetic if SY had cracked the case and the McCanns constant badgering of May and Cameron to reopen the investigation into Madeleine's disappearance was the springboard which brought about the truth being exposed..... Told them to be careful what they wished for.

Referring to the bunch of them as the "Tapas 7," is hardly complimentary!

Doesn't have quite the same heroic feel to it as 'The Magnificent 7'

I wonder if there will be any 'get togethers' of 'old friends' in out of the way hotels to check if they can still sing from the same hymn sheet? It is after all coming up 5 years ago since they had to rattle out the fairy tale.... if so, will choir master Clarence be there to orchestrate their performance?

And help them find explanations for inconsistencies and things like MO seeing 2 windows in Madeleine's bedroom and seeing through the sides of cots!

And so, Ms Tanner, how could the pyjamas pictured on the left somehow reach over the knees and end up tight around the ankles?

If this is true, the next headlines will probably read "McCann family seen boarding flight to Brazil".

I recall my father buying the Sunday papers in Glasgow, at the top of Duke Street, at just around midnight on Saturday. Wonder if Gerry is busily trying to find where he can buy the Express!
Re: Sunday Express - Tapas 7 to be interviewed by SY
Some of it may possibly read....
Scotland Yard detectives are poised to interview the so called Tapas seven as their inquiry into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann (steps up gear ?)?
The friends of Kate and Gerry McCann who accompanied them on their holiday to Portugal almost five years ago are expecting interview requests, as soon as officers think they can assist the investigation.
feel they could be
So far, the Yard's Maddie Squad has been in analysing every scrap of evidence by Leicestershire police
Portuguese detectives and based McCanns.

As long as the Tapas tales tally with Kate's recollections as depicted in the bewk, they'll be ok.

"As soon as officers feel they could assist the investigation" .................. how long could that take?? Will the 'Officers' ever feel 'they could assist the investigation'............. I so hope this is Great News - but after so many disappointments I can't help but tread carefully...............
