Re: TV Psychic's sick 'Maddie Dead' Claim
Here is today's 'The Sun's Editorial comment about Derek Acorah:,
Sick psychic
Published: Today at 19:17
DEREK Acorah has made a fortune convincing people he talks to the dead.
Fair enough. Entertainment takes many forms.
But the psychic has crossed the threshold into callous bad taste by violating Gerry and Kate McCann’s feelings with his crass remarks about their daughter Madeleine.
Acorah claims he would “hate to upset” the McCanns.
But he does just that by trying to extinguish their one glimmer of hope as he drums up publicity for an upcoming tour.
He is certain their little girl is dead, he says, because an invisible hovering friend he first met in Ethiopia 2,000 years ago told him so.
Well, Derek. With all due respect to your mystical mate, 100 real-life detectives now working on the case reckon Madeleine’s alive.
Why? Because they have no evidence whatsoever that she isn’t.
And let’s be honest. Neither have you.
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
My Bold on line 7.
Of course SY never said that Madeleine is alive. They said that she could be alive - or she could be dead.
It is only lying, twisting rags, in the UK Media, that have turned that into SY saying that Madeleine is alive.

Two points to raise on The Sun's editorial.
1. There are not 100 detectives working on the case. More like 30.
2. Who printed the story in the first place? If it's sick (which it is, whatever your stance) DON'T PRINT IT.

Re: TV Psychic's sick 'Maddie Dead' Claim
interested wrote:"Spirit told me she's gone, says Acorah". This article is in Tuesday's Sun. Of course the parents are disgusted and the usual "they have been unable to get Portugese police to reopen their failed investigation".
I was particularly interested that the Sun has included they "are still raising cash to support their continuing hunt for Madeleine".
I used to listen to Derek Acorah on the James Whale Show on Talk Radio years ago, Every time he was on the sunday show the phone lines were racked and there were lots of things he got right so I actually believe in him... (whether or no that psychologist tricked him to mentioning a name he made up for tv as I imagine he did that to make himself seem better)
Either way, you don't need to be a psychic to know that shes dead and died many years ago... by an accident... and was then covered up.

Not an accident
An incident.
"Accident" suggests something that could not reasonably be anticipated or prevented.

I don't have to be a psychic to know that Madeleine is dead; the power of reasoning leads me to believe it.
Having read the Sun editorial (above), I'm curious about what the Sun had to say about the arrest of Rebekah Brooks, et al, if anything.

The so called reporter of this 'story' Aaron Tinney is the Sun's showbiz reporter (maybe trying to follow in Piers Morgans footsteps perhaps?) and recently has been responsible for wacky backy stories like Michael Jackson ordered his brother Randy to be shot: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/4299928/Michael-Jackson-ordered-minders-to-kill-his-brother-Randy.html
Aaron Tinney was responsible for this ludicrous mccann story back in 2009. Notice the reference to Jaycee Lee Dugard in these
http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sunday-life/madeleine-mccann-is-in-a-secret-lair-14489787.html
Notice the DNA claim here is on the lines of Danie Krugel
http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/sunday-life/dna-test-could-find-kidnapper-14501754.html
Reports on Gwyneth Paltrow's talking to her dads spirit claim:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4210123/Gwyn-I-chat-to-my-dads-spirit-via-his-wedding-ring.html
I think our own 'mediums' can see the picture going on here!

Re: TV Psychic's sick 'Maddie Dead' Claim
i disagree i dont think its sick if someone believes Madeleine is dead. I also believe that some psychics believe what they "see". Seems Dedwood thinks the psychics might have something of substance because he s toutinmg them as got 195 investigative opportunities, psychics and dreamers combined, it cant be had all ways. it cant be sick cos one psychic says she dead (im not talking Dere Acorah) here, unless its equally sick that another psychic says she s alive. jimo.

Re: TV Psychic's sick 'Maddie Dead' Claim
How irresponsible is it for the press, police and everybody else involved to continue to insist that Madeleine is alive and only alive. Surely this is severely damaging to her family and relatives left behind. ? Five years down the line, no sign of the little girl, why give this over the top hope to them ? I really cannot see how this is normal beahviour.
I know miracles happen, and yes it would be fantastic if Madeleine were alive and well cared for. However there must surely be some methodology whereby these "professional" people support the bereaved family and prepare them for the worst, rather than the best, at this stage.
Logically, even if Madeleine were alive and being well cared for with a new family, that in itself would be severely damaging for all involved if she were found. They would need to be prepared for that eventuality as well.
It really is the stuff fairytales are made of. Child abducted, well looked after for at least five years, returned to her family and they all live happily ever after. How is this being allowed to happen. There are surely some members of Madeleine's family who care deeply for her, and imo this constant insistance that she is alive and only alive must be severely damaging to them.
It is not sick to say the little girl might no longer be alive. What is sick is how these so called newspapers splash the headlines in a sensational manner. What is sick is that quite clearly they have been given the go ahead to print these stories. We know with certainty that nothing gets printed in these papers without the green light from CM. That the stories are published, in order to give the McCanns another opportunity to re-inforce their belief she is alive, is sick.
To state there is a possibility that Madeleine may no longer be on this earth, is simply being realistic.

It was in another paper I think - she definitely said she liked it. I think it might have been in the Express as that was the forum I was on at the time, and there were loads of comments about it.

It's supposed to remind people of Madeleine (!) and was installed to mark the first anniversary of her disappearance.

Didn't the little Australian girl whose parents pretended she was abducted but actually murdered her have a maniquin outside her house?
But it didn't look so freaky as it was dressed in the exact replica off pj's she allegedly went missing in.

Re: TV Psychic's sick 'Maddie Dead' Claim
Her name was Kiesha Abrahams. It certainly is a normal course of events to dress a child or a mannequin in the clothes worn by a missing child. It is very hard to fathom the logic behind this montrosity!

It looks like a dummy from one of those beach front souvenir shops, where they sell sun hats, buckets and spades, sea shells and mugs with your name on.

Indeed I did.
But the height of the dummy is far too tall
for a 9 year old IMO.
And how can you realistically remind people
of someone who's image last reported was
of a toddler?
