I don't suppose the police had any choice in view of her age.

It would have been interesting though if they had been left alone to see how long they stayed together. It's hard to imagine that a 15-year-old could be sufficiently mature to choose a lifelong partner.

15 year olds can be fairly mature and 40 year olds can be very immature at times,who knows.As a matter of interest how close to being 16 is she ?

15 is legal in France and the French Police had said they were not looking for Her because of that,but seems they acted pretty swiftly once the EAW was issued.

Sometimes they are, I think. My mother married when she was 16 and was married for 43 years. Also, I know a very happy couple where the woman was the teacher and the man the student. They say they knew when the man was a student, but they didn't get together until he had left school. They got married when he was 17 and she was 32 and have been together for many years with 3 lovely children.
