Re: Whats in the Urn

Re: Whats in the Urn
I believe it's called a Terramundi money smash pot. Could be that the twins wanted to put some money in a pot for the 'search' or somesuch.

Re: Whats in the Urn
Oh right, thanks.I know there was a lot of debate about this in the early days and i just came across it today again. It wouldnt suprise me if kate convinced the twins to forsake their pocket money for the 'search'.No doubt she told them that the nasty bogeyman had taken Maddie and their money will help to get Her back.

Re: Whats in the Urn
The opening at the top is very small, unless for rolled up tenners. I have two similar urns, they contain the cremains of two beloved dogs.

Re: Whats in the Urn
on a terramundi pot the opening can easily take a two pound piece. not as small as it looks, and the pot holds quite a lot of money. im not entirely sure it is a terramundi pot, ive seen similar shape and style pots which are terramundi. jimo.

Re: Whats in the Urn
Forgive me but I had never heard of a Terramundi pot which I now know is a money pot. This particular pot looks like it could be an urn and if so, the question would be, "Who is in the urn?".

I've always found this 'shrine' very odd.

Re: Whats in the Urn
I am sorry to say that I don't find it odd at all. They have placed a money-attracting charm at the very centre of their "shrine" to their lost little daughter. I'd say that it's entirely consistent behaviour for them.

And that is what i think.Terrible bad taste, something you'd maybe expect Delboy to stick on his mantelpiece when auntie joan passed away.At best a bad faux par or maybe a Narcissistic statement. What would be the purpose of publishing such a personal tribute or are the mccanns really that crass.
Can anyone make sense of the card on the left ?

Re: Whats in the Urn
I have never seen this before and just wondering where it was placed, it looks like door panels behind the shelf , looks odd . also, how did it get into the public domain.?

Re: Whats in the Urn
My recollection is it was shown as part of the video that was shot in their home, possibly a year after they returned from Portugal. I remember the twins were still very young at the time.

It is in the kitchen in Rothley, Panda. It can be seen on the home movie documentary.

Re: Whats in the Urn
Thanks interested and mossman.......everything they do is so tacky
I remember in the documentary made by Mentorn....think it was the first Anniversary of Madeleine's "Abduction".
The twins are sitting around the kitchen table and Kate is painting the word Madeleine on a sheet of paper and asks the twins what does it say. They were only 3 yrs old so said something that was wrong and Kate smiled and said no silly ,MADELEINE.!!!! I thought at the time that she was using the twins .

Talking of Del Boy, you can even say this is a nice little urner......
To me, the object on the left looks like a ceramic tile but I can't imagine why it would be there.

The object on the left looks like a greeting card placed so that the message can be viewed. Unfortunately the "greeting" can not be deciphered at least to these old eyes.

Odd? A missing daughter and money. Seems appropriate enough.

I must admit that there are times when, horrible as I know it seems, I think that this whole thing was a pre-planned money-making scheme.

.
The 'urn' is the centre of attention, that is the issue here ! Maddies picture is pushed to the side. What would you normally think of that .

Re: Whats in the Urn
One year....under scrutiny....cameras in their home?
Put there for a reason imo.
If it was non Maddie related, it wouldn't have the place of honour.
If it had any significance, money/urn etc it would have been removed for the cameras.
Contrived, to create 'discussion' and speculation (cremation) to deflect from the truth?
I wouldn't put it past them.

I'm with Lioned on this. Maddie's photo should/would be in the centre imo.
