I went surfing in a 10 foot swell of white water yesterday and i feel positively invigorated.Bit like jumping in a massive washing machine,caught a couple of great tubes.
That could also be bad for you as you can end up dead but it probably wont give you blood clots unless your board catches you on the bonce !
Highly recommended and its cheaper than going to Switzerland.

You could still die if you swallow the water as it could have sewage in it.

And if you tread on a weaver fish or get stung by a big jelly (or even a small one) it canes a bit.
