The search for Madeleine McCann continues—and this time Scotland Yard officials will directly search in Portugal for the child who has been missing for the better half of a decade. This is the biggest move in the case in a very long time as officials with SY claim to have a few dozen persons of interest in the case. But doesn't all of this just seem like a dog and pony show?



Hopefully officials will bring more cadaver dogs into the old rental apartment where Maddie was reportedly taken. Historically, a famed handler's dogs hit on the scent of cadaver in the apartment and on several of the McCann's items. This led many to speculate that Kate and Gerry could have been directly responsible for Maddie's disappearance.

If the Scotland Yard officials in Portugal are adequate at their jobs, they may find the remains of Madeleine McCann, as cadaver dog evidence rarely lies. It should be noted that one of the dogs that noted death scent in the Portugal apartment is one of the very dogs who alerted to scents in the Bianca Jones case here in the United States.
