Lorraine Kelly's Latest McCann Nonsense ('The Sun')

In today's Column, Lorraine Kelly has her usual 100% defence of Gerry & Kate, & her usual attack on those who doubt them.
Lorraine seems to think that people dislike the McCann's for the sake of it - out of sheer, uncalled for bullying.

   She also claims that  Gonçalo Amaral  never looked for Madeleine, as he was 'too busy' writing his book about the 'Case'! 

   She seems to know very little about it all - only what Gerry & Kate have told her!  And - as always - she writes about Gerry & Kate
as if they are victims, who have done nothing wrong, only for them to get picked on by 'bullies'. She is laughably naïve.

   Lorraine says:,

   In the years since she disappeared off the face of the earth, Madeleine McCann's parents have never given up hope.

     They have both been vilified and even found themselves accused of murdering their beloved child.
   
     Conspiracy theorists have taken to Twitter and other social networking sites to compare outlandish theories and inflict
disgraceful attacks on Kate and Gerry.

   Somehow they have managed to endure all the foul trolls and hateful comments.  

I simply have no idea how they stay so strong and remain so positive that one day they will find their daughter and their
fractured family will be repaired.

     This week their hopes were raised again with the news that Scotland Yard detectives plan to release an e-fit image of a possible
suspect in Madeleine's abduction.

  Kate and Gerry will also be appearing on BBC's Crimewatch on Monday night to make a fresh appeal for information.

    I have met them both many times over the years and have always been struck by their dignity and gratitude to everyone
who tried to help in the hunt for their daughter.

  I cannot even begin to imagine what they have been going through during the past six years.

   It must be the last thing they think about when they go to sleep and the first when they wake up in the morning. To go
through life with that knot in your stomach, pain in your heart and never really having peace of mind is just too painful
to bear. But bear it they must.

  They have to take care of their twins, Sean and Amelie.

  Right now, the McCann's are in the middle of a libel case against the Portuguese detective who devoted more energy to
writing a book about the case than actually trying to find Madeleine.

    He has made heinous accusations against Kate and Gerry.

    The claims have caused them enormous pain and distress - and spawned much of the ludicrous backlash against them both.

    If only the British coppers had been allowed to take charge of this investigation six years ago when the clues were still fresh.  

 There would have been a real chance of finding out what happened to Madeleine.

   We can only hope that this latest development will bring about the reunion we are all praying for.

    And that one day Madeleine will be found and returned to the arms of her parents".

she is one reason why I don't buy newspapers. Karma is a wonderful thing, lets wait and see. Why does she set herself up as a mouthpiece for the McCs.

How libellous is that....saying mr amaral concentrated on his book than looking for Madeleine .


He wrote the book after he was removed and I might add, mr amaral was sent to another police force, not sacked from it.


Is this women for real or what.

I don't know how or why she keeps her job as a journalist when she obviously has done no research on this case beyond asking the McCanns.

She is Insinusting that whilst the case was ongoing and mr amaral was still the coordinator, he was siting In his office writing a book.

Lorraine's article clearly shows she has done no actual research on this case or bothered to read the PJ files - or if she has she is knowingly trying to mislead the public with her lies and smears. By saying Amaral has devoted more energy to writing a book about the case than actually trying to find Madeleine, that is a clear case of Libel.

She makes no reference to the pain and distress caused to a decent hardworking copper who devoted over and above what he needed to do in pursuit of truth and justice in this case to try and solve what happened to Madeleine and give Madeleine a voice. She makes no reference to the pain and distress the McCann accusations have made against Amaral on him, his wife and his children, so I would say that makes Lorraine a rather big hypocrite with false concern about one child - Madeleine - but no concern for the innocent victims involved in this case - the children of Goncalo Amaral.
 
She makes reference to being struck by Mccanns dignity and gratitude to everyone who has tried to help in the hunt for their daughter - once again showing her ignoring the Facts of this case that Kate has made many comments about nobody looking for Madeleine when not only have the Police spent hours of their time but the residents of PDL, some of them even taking time off work to join the search. She conveniently forgets to mention that it was the Mccanns who did not search.
 
She says if only the British coppers had been allowed to take charge of this investigation six years ago when clues were still fresh there would have been a real chance of finding out what happened to Madeleine.  She fails to mention that if Kate had bothered to answer the Police questions, if the couple and mates had not told numerous different versions of what happened, if they had not told lies, - then there may have been a real chance of finding out what happened to Madeleine. she conveniently says nothing about the interference of the British Government who refused to cooperate with the Portuguese Police - but understandable she keeps quiet about that when her mate Gordon involved.
 
She seems to have no knowledge that the British cops Were in PDL helping with the investigation and it was their input which contributed to the Mccanns being made suspects.
 
She comments on attacks against the Mccanns but says nothing about the fact that for six years the Mccanns fans have made personal attacks, threats, and stalked anyone who dares to speak out and cast doubt on the abduction story. Makes no reference on the personal attacks Mccanns have made against Tony Bennett, Pat Brown and anyone who dares to question them.
 
Lorraine says she hopes that Madeleine will be found and returned to the arms of her parents - I am sure we would all love Madeleine to be found alive and well but would we want her returned to the arms of her parents! Parents who couldn't be bothered to answer questions even when told by Police to refuse to do so could harm the investigation, parents who put their own selfish selves before Madeleine, parents who have told lies, numerous versions of what happened, parent who clearly has such a disturbed mind to write what she did on Page 129 of her book, parents who cant wait to commercialise and market and make money from their own daughter, parents who highlighted Madeleine's eye defect even when told it could put her in danger, would we really want that for Madeleine, or would we prefer if found alive she had a loving caring honest decent home with parents who loved her for her, not for what they could make out of her and parents who would put her care and safety above everything else.
 
Lorraine Kelly is an absolute disgrace to British journalism, her unbalanced, biased and libellous article needs to be reported not only to Goncalo Amaral but to the Press Commission. It is people like her who has a high media presence that can influence the British public and the lies and misinformation she is spreading, and has done so for some considerable time, needs to be stopped. People like Wendy Murphy former US prosecutor is someone who puts people like Lorraine to shame.
 
At the end of the day she is doing nothing for the quest for truth and justice for Madeleine and ultimately the person she is disrespecting and letting down is Madeleine herself. Shame on Lorraine Kelly!

Well, they were definitely writing Blogs and Diaries, we know that for sure!!!

Both Kelly and Mitchell represent all that is bad and disreputable about the UK Media and why it needs some form of regulation, but not by any Government minister or department. 

Two separate political administrations have blatantly used both the media and police as propaganda tools to show two parents, who should be charged with child abandonment at the very least, as being the offended parties, rather than their children all under 4 years old whom they placed in harms way when leaving them alone each night on a 'family holiday'.

TBH I think Dr Amaral has bigger, and better, fish to fry than to bother himself with poisonous wee bints like Kelly. It doesn't stop us referring her to the PCC though.

I think it's all part of the misinformation, which is organised by the likes of Editorial Intelligence and indeed people like Woolfall whose speciality is reputation management.

This isn't something Kelly dreamt up, she's simply been provided with such non-facts and told to air them.

So it's much worse. Btw mrs. Sarah Brown ran a similar outfit. It's a growth industry and Textusa wrote 'New job opportunities' about this trend. Worth a read.

The same sort of outfit takes care of entering positive comments online under news articles and/or such misinformation as above.

I really do think that Lorraine is beyond saving. She makes Antonella Lazzeri seem reasonable by contrast.

I don't suppose we can find out if she is a member of the National Union of Journalists but, if she is, she must be breaching their guidelines for responsible and fair reporting.
