Very good point quickfingers. That would also be a very good reason why they would choose to highlight the 'we were bad parents'. And I personally believe it did happened before the 3rd.
There is nothing wrong with that as far as I know. I would say this is a hypothetical question, therefore the correct response is a past tense verb.Karen wrote:German version of Crimewatch

note at 21: 54 Gerry slips up and says "how much we LOVED her"?? I think the reporter asked Gerry what he would say to Madeleine

Why, ffs?
What could they possibly be doing near a cafe (presumably in full view of other people) that would make him feel uneasy?
What is it about them that is so suspicious?
They are blond.
They are bare-chested.
They are wearing swimming shorts.
Hmm - come to think of it, I might go looking for them meself.

Re: CRIMEWATCH
I watched the Crimewatch interview again last night ( well not all of it but just a small part) and Gerry definitely said that when Madeleine was born she came out " almost perfectly formed". What a very strange choice of words, this would normally be attributed to someone who was in some way disabled.

That comment hit me immediately and I wondered what he meant.
Thanks to page 129, we know it's not Madeleine's genitals!

I, really not sure about this headline, it is taking the mickey, what else would some men be wearing in a holiday area. gosh I could think it was the bloke next door who always wears swim shorts when the sun comes out, regardless of the time of year.kitti wrote:Now this is gonna be a gut buster for them... Why would any man in a Mediterranean holiday resort be wearing swimming shorts? what a joke!!!

Oh my goodness, that is unusual isn't it? Blond men, shirtless and wearing swimming shorts in a holiday resort ! That really takes some believing:haha:almostgothic wrote:The holidaymaker said the men made him feel uneasy.

Re: CRIMEWATCH
They weren't german anyway, they didn't have their towels with them.
Apparently the german interview was different because they change the 'missing her at family occasions' to 'we miss her everyday'.
And also, she has changed the 'little girl' to 'my child '
Michael wright being reporting back to them again....

Re: CRIMEWATCH
Hiya kitti, was going to say the same as you re the German version, differences, especially relating to answers about how they missed Madeleien. the McCs friends are doing a grand job, but we know that from before when weve asked questions and we find the response in the next appeal, media article or tv show. they know they can come here and see what we say, then they sneak back and report. Thought even the Russians had stopped doing that to their citizens.

Re: CRIMEWATCH
Would it be possible for a British poster to transcript what A.Redwood said on Crimewatch? For me what he said was very confused and contradictory. Especially as the photos of the pyjamas didnt show the same color.
Merci in advance.

Re: CRIMEWATCH
Yes - I noticed it too. When one's child is born, assuming everything is physically ok, the norm is to be relieved that the baby is 'perfect'... meaning that everything is where it should be etc. I wondered if he was feigning modesty, like he didn't want to say his child was 'perfect' because he's aware that everyone feels this, but the addition of the word 'formed' suggests that he meant, quite literally, that Madeleine wasn't quite physically the 'norm'. I decided he was referring to the coloboma. Not Born Yesterday wrote:That comment hit me immediately and I wondered what he meant.

Re: CRIMEWATCH
The coloboma that she quite possibly never had in the first place; I wonder if such a thing would have been immediately apparent after birth anyway.
I know that Kate referred to Sean as having a squashed head - maybe it was just something like that.
