Re: CRIMEWATCH
Somebody on twitter posted the link below. I had not seen this article previously, but it is very interesting now, in the light of the Payne family being whooshed from Crimewatch.

Re: CRIMEWATCH
Yesterday the program was aired in the Netherlands.
Nothing new really except the dismissal of sighting of Tanner. I think it is still possible dat Tanner made-up the whole lot and that it is a coincidence there is somebody fitting in.
Kate did indeed her "whoosh" story.
What struck me was that at one moment the question was popped that the McCanns themselves were suspects at one time, Redwood answered that the parents were no suspects.

Taxi driver was around 8 pm. From memory he said circa 8.10 when the people got into car and he was back at his home by 8.30 to watch television or something like that.

I think it might just be a way of the DM writing it without causing any problems. I'm not sure what the outcome will be either way myself.tanszi wrote:don't think so. Re: CRIMEWATCH
I think it was intentionally an admission, they put in (or maybe under police pressure) this part not only in the reconstruction but also to be seen by millions watching the crimewatch program.LJC wrote:The reconstruction shows the family McCann having breakfast on morning of 3rd and Madeleine asking her now very well known question about them not coming when they were crying.
I thought it was 1st May when Mrs Fenn heard crying, so when was Madeleine supposed to have asked this question then. She must have cried on 2nd as well.
And Kate said she was startled by the question and told Gerry they must take extra care tonight as she would not like to think the children are crying when no one is there, or similar words.
No wonder there is a very angry nation out there right now, but what is this admission about really? Trying to insinuate it was someone measuring up and doing surveillance on their apartment?
...........
I think they know many people would be angry at their apparent bad parenting.
And I think they did this because being seen as very bad parents is better than being seen as something else.
In my opinion, this whole extract was an unintended admission within an admission. If they did not feel greater guilt and did not fear worse opinions, why would they want everyone to see this?

Unless it is to reinforce that she was there on that night and nothing had occurred on an earlier night?

Having just watched the German version of the truth..* cough*
I'm thrilled. It's like watching a slow motion car crash, with Kate at the wheel.

I too hope they are right!! But I have to wonder if these are the same "notable" journalists who have been "reporting" the McCann spin for six years. If their reporting has been only to satisfy their editors/publishers so that they keep their jobs, I hope when the McCanns are reeled in they are allowed to do some true investigative work. I really hope they are right though, that the MET are playing a game.

Seen near the McCann apartment, though it actually says sitting at a cafe 5 minutes away from the flat - hardly near.
Incidentally Portugal isn't in the Mediterranean.

Re: CRIMEWATCH
The holidaymaker said the men made him feel uneasy.
Why, ffs?
What could they possibly be doing near a cafe (presumably in full view of other people) that would make him feel uneasy?
What is it about them that is so suspicious?
They are blond.
They are bare-chested.
They are wearing swimming shorts.
Hmm - come to think of it, I might go looking for them meself.
Purely for investigative purposes, you understand ......
