YESTERDAY 800 PEOPLE WERE DIAGNOSED WITH EBOLA OR WAS THAT SUSPECTED CASES.

Badboy , this is the latest news , very serious . I don't know about 800 , no news on that.....but very serious in Iraq.

The Spanish Priest is in isolation in a Hospital in Madrid and the existing Patients moved to another Hospital . A Nun who worked with the Priest
is also in Madrid but not considered to be infected .

I had a Security Notification through at work today which is related to what I do:

As of 30 July 2014, there have been 1202 confirmed cases of the disease with 673 of these individuals eventually succumbing to the disease.

It also mentions that some Malaria patients have mistakenly been put in Ebola quarantine as the symptoms are very similar.

Hi chrissie, the WHO is being persuaded to use the treatment given to the couple in America who appear to be making good progress. The T.V. report i saw showed a Man lying in the road in a village and he has been there for several days, no one prepared to go near him. There is a singular lack of hygiene in the villages which doesn't help Peter Piot who has been researching Ebola advocates the WHO relax their rules on untested cures. Apparently there are different strains of Ebola and the Spanish Priest airlifted is showing signs of recovery.

HAS THAT DEATH IN SAUDI ARABIA BEEN CONFIRMED AS EBOLA?

Yes Badboy, the only one so far, I think the man who died caught the infection on a flight .

It can take up to 21 days for the virus to become apparent but people are infectious during the incubation stage....just think how many could be infected if that person goes to work in a busy environment, especially a hospital!

Aye, the daft logic will be, we must keep this dreadful plague confined to our own borders and not let it inflict anybody else. (And sod our own, if a few die off, so what, at least we'll have been Politically Correct).

The following Countries are closing their Borders:-

Zamba, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia have closed their Borders. Dr. Bartly is recovering well which lends credence to the Scientists trying to persuade the WHO to test ZMapp on other victims. There is another agency which has been testing the Ebola virus and it feels ZMapp should be used , but suspected cases cannot hope to have the treatment the Doctor has received and would be treated in their own Country in Isolation Wards .

THERE ARE 21 SUSPECTED CASES IN THAILAND,THINK THERE WERE IN NIGERIA RETURNING TO THAILAND.
