You're absolutely right there Badboy. It's a hydra headed monster. I wonder how many of them have a clear idea of what it is the are fighting for? Is it to overthrow Assad so that a more representative government can be put in place or so that they themselves can be put in place? Do the opposition forces such as Hezbollah really want to protect Assad's regime? Whatever the motivation, as absolutely per usual, there are dozens of factions, each with a slightly different idea. Because as I say there are only two sides to it. Assad stays in power or he is ousted. Two factions only three including regular Syrian armed forces.

Whatever is going on in what passes for minds in these people, there is one absolute truth in all this. As you say there is little now left to fight over and that little is getting less with each building they destroy. Is this what their Allah could possibly want? I think not.

Of course all this is without the human cost of the innocents caught up in this. Displaced to live in tents as they are, shot at by both sides when they try to escape the carnage. The abuses that go on when they finally do reach what they believe is safety. All in the name of heir Deity.

If that is true, I assume plans are already being made to try to free him. What a coup that would be if the SAS and/or the American seals could get him out. Apart from being inhuman monsters without a shred of compassion you have to admit that militarily speaking, someone in their ranks seems to know what he's doing. you would normally expect terrorists to just charge on regardless soaking up their own casualties, until they run out to steam ISIS seem to be intelligently attacking various points, and consolidating as they go, before attacking again.

This is something I can't quite fathom. We know what the attitude of ISIS is to prisoners, they have done this countless times before. If I had been fighting them, and had enough I would try to get away from them.

Any other course is futile. Pretending to be a civilian; they kill civilians. Surrender, they kill you anyway. What is the point? They may as well fight to the last bullet, and then as in countless westerns use it on yourself.

That's the rub Badboy. It's catch 22 isn't it? No bombing means they gain in strength and territory while killing or raping everything in sight. Bomb them, and we aid Assad. Monstrous though his regime was he allowed freedom of worship regardless of faith. My personal opinion, is better the devil we know. To allow the devil known as ISIS to triumph is unthinkable.

Cruel is hardly the word Badboy, Depraved might fit better although there are no words in any language to describe these vicious thugs. More worrying is these alleged British young men, and European young men going over to join ISIS. In my opinion Badboy they are doing a magnificent job, and when all this is over and the terrorist gangs a distant memory The Kurds will have deserved a place of their own.
