Re: The Blairs Christmas Card
To be honest , it was tongue in cheek because I assumed you already knew all this and initially the Christmas Card report was about Tony's face ,LOL

We know about Cherie' background but very little about Tony , that's some acheivement , PM for 13 years and flicking off all the criticisms and "misdemeanors" and you have to give him credit for the way he handled Dianas' death ., "The Peoples Princess", I wonder if he composed that himself?

My comment was actually intended to be humorous Panda. It wasn't vindictive anyway. However if you are indeed looking for a reason for anger, try her husband who lied to Parliament (to say nothing of the whole country) This lie caused the tories to vote for the invasion of Iraq (again) Add up the cost of that in lives. the lives of Britain's and the other members of the coalitions best. Add to that the cost in Iraqi lives, still going on and the displacement of tens of thousands of bewildered innocents with the loss of virtually everything they own. To say nothing of the money wasted. You might come up with a number of people who have a reason to be vindictive.
Most of the comments on here have been about Cheryl, but you are right, Teflon Tony has managed to avoid charges on many actions that nobody else would. Lying to Parliament, non disclosure of Rental income, a hushed up charge of being caught with his trousers down in a Public Toilet. One of the first things he did was to cancel regular meetings with Civil Servants who were permanent and knew much more than him. He made a lot of money from after Dinner speaking in the States, made a fortune on his Book but only gave the Royalties to the British Legion as a sop for the lies he told resulting in our Army going to War.
My comments have indirectly been about Mrs. Blair. My own government would simply not allow me to behave in the manner he has. Rather the opposite, she has stuck with him throughout.
I presume your "own Government" means your Wife? Cherie had a personal female Guru so was quite content to let Tony do as he liked, you must have known what his penchant is/was.It suited both of them to enjoy the life they have

don't think it would be to hard to research blair's background to be honest.

I had a look at wikipedia , but all it says is his name, where he was educated, married, how many children . This s another report on the photograph,, but better, it's true, his eyes do follow you around.

Remember how Cherie tried to avoid tax on that Flat she bought in Bristol for her Son when he started university??? It was the Boyfriend of her Guru who arranged the purchase , luckily they were found out . This Woman earns£300,000 at least as a Lawyer yet when Tony's autobiography made a fortune, he donated only the Royalties to the British Legion to ease his conscience about the phoney war in Afghanistan.

Absolutely WJK you have hit the nail on the head. No class or decency. He was in politics for what he could get out of it. Iraq provided a fortune in after dinner speaking. She hung firmly on his coat tails. Remember, as a lawyer she handled several high visibility, and even more highly lucrative cases involving her own husbands government. That must at the least be just a little fast footwork and possibly conflict of interest.

Their Daughter was in rehab when she was about 17 and treated in s Scottish Clinic by a Doctor McCann, we thought at the time he was related to Gerry , but he wasn't.Do you remember her Guru's (can't remember her name ) boyfriend bought a flat in Bristol for her Son who was gong to Uni there and the deal was dodgy. At that time both the Blairs were earning a lot of money but didn't like to pay taxes.

Thanks fuzeta, remember now . I always wondered what the relationship was about. It was her Boyfriend who bought those Flats in Bristol and it proved a dodgy deal.
Can't trust any one in Politics can you.

My son was never picked up by the police, reeling drunk, and vomiting. Nor has he ever found it necessary to give a false address since he was under the legal drinking age at the time.

Very Droll! I was pointing out what seems to be a general dysfunctional trend.

Today's youngsters grow up too soon Katerfait , when I was growing up we didn't have much but never felt hard done by and "grooming" was unheard of. The World was
small and all we knew about it was from Geography lessons .

The size of the planet is on T.V. now and we can see the fighting going on around the World and learn a bit about many Countries whereas when I was younger all the Geography teacher had was a map of various Countries.,"Grooming " young people was unheard of , alcoholism and drug addiction was never so rife, Mary Whitehouse would be turning in her grave at the standard of T. V. , and you can't see all this?

What a load of absolute crap. Look at any painting by Hogarth or read any novel by Dickens. Or this. http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/0/20097046
