MPS from an anonymous but very large group of Brit. police officers, outraged at the way in which an SIO has been treated. This strikes at the very basis of the way investigations whould be conducted, “Without Fear or Favour, Malice or ill will”. The world can clearly see where the malice and ill-will are in this case.

Looks like LOSING has turned Mr Amaral into a WINNER.

I've noticed people from the "media" have made comments together with their donations to the Defence Fund. When the goal of 25,000 pound is reached I wonder if the press will report that the donations include those of the police, the media and a Law Lecturer.

Almost there - the Fund now stands at 24,415 pound. All the comments are worth reading but two fairly recent ones are of interest.

(1) from "JS" in the amount of 8 pound (19 hours ago) and

(2) from "dn" in the amount of 5 pound (18 hours ago)

These two appear to be from "media" people.

The £1000 donation from the police officers is probably the Operation Grange team frustrated that their hands are tied in naming the real culprits!

Spot on, interested... It really is wonderful news... A huge well done to all the 'trolls' in the UK and across the globe who took the time and trouble to kindly donate to the fund and particularly to the courageous Leanne Baulch.

Imo, This sends a definitive message to Team McCann and the T7 that this could very well be the start of the end game... Tick-tock...

Imo... I don't think this was an own goal at all... I suspect it was the MSM's deceptive way of getting the news out about the fund without upsetting the proverbial McCann apple cart...
