Woman arrested over child's death
A 43-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a three-year-old girl was found dead.

Police were called to a house on Redwood Close, Cheadle Heath, after receiving a report the child had died.

The girl was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was taken to hospital with superficial cuts to her wrist, Greater Manchester Police said.

Forensic experts have begun examining the flat and a car has been taken away by detectives.
