120 days since Secrecy laws were lifted

Today is 31st August 08 and its been 120 days so far since it was lifted.

The McCanns wanted this lifted so they could look for their daughter, although it didnt stop them before as they hired Metodo 3 in September 07.

They also hired this one man band FBI, SAS, Elite forces, whoever he is expert months ago.

They went to High court to sue Leics police to get their hands on the paperwork to find clues themselves.

They also said they couldnt speak out about the investigation while the secrecy laws were in place.



So now its been 120 days, what clues do they have and why havent they said a word about the investigation? They said the PJ were nothing doing at the start of the investigation so what exactly are they doing?

I agree Amber -imo, they have left many stones unturned in their " search" for Madeleine - including the one that has reared its ugly head in recent weeks - if this rumour has substance ...ie, David Payne, - the Mccann's have never shown any concern that two of their doctor friends from a previous holiday had reported their fears of David Payne to the UK police 13 days after Madeleine went missing - are we to believe this information never even reached Team Mccann ?....

They have been 100% behind their friends since day one ....they have also not shown any qualms about leaving the twins in the hands of the staff at the complex where their child was supposedly taken - so just who are the Mccann's suspicious of if they trust all their friends and were willing to leave their other two children with strangers so soon after Madeleine was "abducted" ? it wasn't as if they had to put the twins in the creche because they were helping in the search for their daughter !!...very trusting couple arn't they !
Gerry has said he had plenty to say but couldn't because of the secrecy laws - well they no longer apply, so they can't hide behind that reason for not speaking out now.

I honestly now believe there is much more to all of this than meets the eye and alot of it is being covered up because there must be ppl in higher places protecting them and if thats the case...why?

Not all the files have been released. I can't remember the exact figures, but I have read somewhere that some have been witheld because of the possibility of the case being reopened at some stage in the future.

I really think Amaral is going to tell alot more yet and the McCanns know it.

You know, (and this is ONLY my opinion of course), I really don;t think they are in this for the money. That is not what this is about. I think they are just trying to live with what they've done and trying to save their skins. At the moment. with everyone watching them,the worlds press waiting on their every move and forums. like ours, criticising them, it is not about how much money they can make. I believe they killed her accidently, yes, but I honestly think they would give all the money in the world to turn the clock back. I am not defending them nor am i saying they are good people; I am merely saying, I don;t understand where this notion that they are doing it for financial gain comes from??

I dont know but they might have asked for it long before and waited for a date and it coinsided with them lifting the arguido status....

Well Maddie was made a ward of court 3 weeks after she disappeared and there was talk of them giving up guardianship of her to another relative long before that....so if thats the case there's alot of explaining they need to do about that!

The money has been used for 2 mortgage payments (that we know of) and if they didnt have money to pay their mortgage how did they find money for a new car and the holiday to Canada.....and i dont think we'll ever know just how much money has been spent for their personal use....

Gerry has talked about a wider agenda from the beginning....they patented Maddies name and have an online shop for their missing daughter....they have made money but how have they spent it??? CM says they were paying M3 one amount and M3 said it was far less so where is all this money going?
