Just watched it....fake vodka......again...

fake golf balls,fake accommodation,fake washing powder,it seems anything that can be faked will be faked.
I think it's a repeat.

Lets not forget we get such a proliferation of fake stuff because the 'real' stuff is stupidly expensive,a lot of brand and designer stuff may well be good but it still trades much on its name as much as quality.

I've got a Gucci watch but it came from Turkey, not Britain!

Dont know why Women buy very expensive jewelry when you can get very nice stuff from Accessories !

I remember years ago getting a fake watch....well known name...looked just like the real deal.


I actually found it the other day, in a cupboard whilst clearing it out......it still worked after after a new battery!!

I took my fake Gucci watch to a friend's father, who is one of those traditional watchmakers, for a small repair. He told me I was lucky he knew me because legally he should have confiscated the watch.

When I lived in Manchester, when my children were at school, my neighbour's husband worked in a textile factory, which she took me to look round one day. They had 'pattern cutters,' there who would unpick items of clothing from chain stores like M&S and cut patterns from them. They then produced M&S and other stores' items for the market trade.

I watched a documentary on that a few months ago. I understand that some of this fake Vodka can kill you. Not that I expect that will worry the people who make and sell it.

Quite right Chrissie, it's absolutely frightening how many people there are who are prepared to make and sell this stuff regardless of the consequences to anyone who takes it. As long as they make money out of it.

THERE WAS AN ARTICLE TODAY IN GUARDIAN ABOUT FAKE ALCOHOL ESPECIALLY VODKA COMING FROM THE BALTIC STATES.
BLINDNESS OR EVEN DEATH MIGHT RESULT FROM DRINKING SUCH STUFF.
ALSO A LOT OF FAKE GOODS SOLD AT CAR BOOT SALES AND SUCHLIKE.
ANYONE LOOKING FOR A CHEAP BARGAIN ON ELICTRICALS AT SUCH PLACES MIGHT BE IN FOR A SHOCK LITERALLY AN ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR EVEN DEATH.

I see what you mean, a literally shocking experience if your lucky. I think the main problem in todays Britain is the cost of living. We are all being squeezed.

Wages and jobs down prices up. For those with children wanting everything from the latest trainers to the latest IPOD, usually because all the other kids have them, the temptation to buy cheap electrical stuff night be too much to resist. We all know that if seems too good to be true, it probably is; but a harassed mother might be tempted.

In an ideal world you are 100% correct in that statement. Unfortunately there are too many people who don't yet realise that if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

For example Through my government's job I know of quite a few elderly people who have had a walk in shower installed. Although several of them have enough money to live comfortably, that didn't stop them going for the cheapest quote. The result in more than one case was flooding and damage to existing furniture etc. Yet even with that knowledge every so often someone decides to have a walk in shower, and still goes for the cheapest.
