When I read this I immediately thought off the mccanns as in nice positive pro article...
You need to know what I think off it....
I thought I had read a load off old Trollop in my time but this article takes the biscuit.
Oh poor old Amanda Knox.....my arse......what about poor Meredith.
I won't print what I really think about this article but if people want to believe she is innocent, that's their perogarive .
The DNA is just one part off the evidence against Knox.....the DNA on the knife was blood from merredith on a knife that was in the boyfriends house....Knox has told too many lies....innocent people don't need to do that.

Re: Murder of Meredith Kercher
It also makes it look as if Knox was best friends with Meredith, when in fact, they weren't.
Meredith had a go at her a few times because Knox kept bringing men back and not clearing up after her and also, Meredith had money going missing from her room and blamed Knox for stealing it.
She may get off with a technicality I.e. The blood on the knife...it makes it look like that was the only piece off evidence...it wasn't but THAT is what the lawyers are latching onto.
Don't forget, the police officers who were defamed by Knox have their case to come to court yet and what's the betting that if Knox gets off....SHE WON'T RETURN TO ITALY TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES...
KNOWONE admits to something they didn't do like she did......she blamed the bar man and said she was with him that night and in the apt whilst he was in merediths room murdering her and she just.....covered here ears...why make that story up.....she was sued by the bar man and he got compensation.

She will get off, she will sue the Italian authorities , she will sell her story to the newspapers, she will write a book and do a film deal......she will make vast amounts off money and Meredith.......she will still be dead and her murderers will be walking around making money off her back.
Karma awaits them....

Re: Murder of Meredith Kercher
Isn't Knox claiming the police put it to her, whilst shouting, slapping and harranging her that the barman (Patrick?) was involved and she just agreed with them in the end? (as opposed to deliberately lying about him).
She seems to me to be a bit 'odd' - her inappropriate behaviour in the police station, the story her friend told in the 'Rolling Stone' article about how she took such an interest in a woman crying whom she didn't know, the way she'd talk to strangers in the park if they approached her, her 'naivety', her behaviour in the court room, her scribblings about wanting to write a song, her behaviour in the lingerie shop, etc... all smack to me of someone on the autistic spectrum (aspergers, maybe?) along with her avid interest in reading/learning etc. I'm not defending her, but it does sound like she's weird.

Re: Murder of Meredith Kercher
The police are suing her as she lied about being slapped etc.
She was a witness and was asked about that night....she then said she wanted to give a statement, off her own accord. The police said they would stop the questioning and wait for her to get a solicitor, she said NO, I want to carry on and make a statement.
She said, she was their that night in the apt and sitting out side merediths bedroom with her hands over her ears to prevent her from hearing the bar manager from killing Meredith.
That is what she said, she was not pressured In to giving that statement she wanted to give it.
And I don't think she has any afflictions......she is just evil.
SHE brought up the barman Patrick, they didn't even know about him.

Thanks, Kitti.
It's all very confusing with people saying one thing, then another and them all sueing each other. Hard to know what to believe. Prosecutor Mignini sounds like he, too, would apply the label 'evil' to Ms Knox.

Knox Appeal: DNA Comes Under The Spotlight
11:55am UK, Monday July 25, 2011
Nick Pisa, in Perugia
Convicted killer Amanda Knox's appeal resumes today with her confidence
rising that their may be "light at the end of the tunnel" following an explosive
new DNA report.
Knox, 24, is serving 26 years for the brutal sex murder
of British student Meredith Kercher, 21, who was found semi naked and with her
throat slashed in her bedroom of the house they shared.
However, in recent months there has been growing disquiet regarding the
verdict amid suggestions of a bungled forensic investigation with police and
prosecutors pushing at all costs for a conviction.
Knox's best friend Madison Paxton said: "I saw her in prison a few days ago
and she was confident. There is light at the end of the tunnel especially since
the new DNA report.
Meredith Kercher was studying in Perugia as an exchange
student
"It feels different this time, with people willing to listen and she is
really hopeful."
Key to her conviction in December 2009 was DNA evidence presented in her
trial which said that genetic material from her had been found on the handle of
a 30cm kitchen knife thought to be the murder weapon.
It was discovered in the kitchen of her co-accused and former boyfriend
Raffaele Sollecito, 26, who was given 25 years for the murder. DNA from Meredith
was said to have been on the blade.
friend Madison Paxton
In Sollecito's case, his DNA was said to have been found on Meredith's
bloodied bra clasp but this was not recovered from the scene until six weeks
after she died and video footage showed it had also been moved.
As a result, defence lawyers for both in the original trial argued that the
evidence was contaminated and flawed and should not have been used. An initial
request for a review was rejected.
Earlier this year appeal judge Claudio Pratillo Hellman agreed to a fresh
request and two independent experts, Carla Vecchiotti and Stefano Conti from
Rome's La Sapienza university, were appointed to examine the evidence.
Knox in court for the latest hearing
Last month their explosive report was leaked and they ruled that it was ''not
certain that DNA from Meredith was on the knife'' and that ''contamination on
the bra clasp could not be excluded".
They added: "It cannot be excluded that the results obtained may have been
derived from ambient contamination or during the handling of the evidence.
"With regard to the bra clasp we believe that the results are not reliable
because scientific elements do not exist which can rule out the possibility of
contamination from elsewhere."
The experts also stressed that "international standards of searching for and
gathering evidence were not followed with regard to the knife and the bra
clasp".
Knox is said to be seeing 'light at the end of the
tunnel'
With regard to the knife the experts said that the DNA provided a "low copy
number" and that "due care and caution should then have been used in attributing
the result to Meredith Kercher, although we agree with the findings that the
genetic evidence on the handle is Knox's".
Miss Paxton, who has moved from Knox's hometown of Seattle to be near her,
added: "We are hopeful but at the same time we are scared because we know the
prosecution will throw something in, another wild accusation.
"We are anticipating something from them, they seem to be going out of their
way to keep two innocent people in jail but we are hoping the judge and jury see
the report for what it is.
Sollecito also denies any involvement in Meredith's
death
"Amanda has started thinking about finally going home - we have even been
talking about apartments we are going to get together but there will be no
celebrations until she is free.
"We just want the court to see that a mistake was made and even though she
and Raffaele were convicted they are both innocent. It would be great if we even
got an apology but I doubt we will."
University of Leeds student Meredith from Coulsdon, Surrey, was discovered
with her throat cut in November 2007, in the hilltop town of Perugia, just two
months after she arrived in Italy during her year abroad.
Rudy Guede's sentence was cut to 16 years
A third defendant, drug dealer Rudy Guede, an immigrant from the Ivory Coast,
was also jailed in connection with the brutal killing.
He was handed a 30-year sentence for murder and sexual violence following a
fast-track trial in October 2008 which was later cut to 16 years.
A final decision on the appeal is expected at the end of September

Evidence that was flawed does NOT prove a person innocent.
DNA is just one part off the case and it is THAT which may let Amanda Knox get away with it.
I hope that IF she is freed that the Kerchers get an INJUNCTION to prevent Knox making any money out off Meredith .

Idaho Innocence
Project
The Idaho
Innocence Project, a non-profit legal organisation dedicated to proving the
innocence of wrongly convicted people through the use of DNA testing, worked on
the Knox and Sollecito case. On 23 May 2011, Dr Gregory Hampikian, director of
the project, announced that, based on its independent investigation and review,
Knox and Sollecito are innocent of the crime. Hampikian stated that more than
100 DNA samples taken at the crime scene pointed to Guede, and excluded Knox and
Sollecito.[178]
Petition to
Italian Justice Minister
On 26 May 2011, 11 members of the Italian parliament, led by Rocco Girlanda and all
members of The People of Freedom Party founded by
Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi,[citation
needed] issued a document as an act of parliament addressed
to Justice Minister Angelino Alfano criticising the evidence that
resulted in the conviction in the first level of Knox and the extended detention
to which she was subject during the multiple levels of trial required before a
final conviction. Furthermore, it was requested that Alfano consider looking
into the situation.[179][180] Girlanda also
addressed a letter to President Giorgio Napolitano, in his capacity as
president of the Italy-USA Foundation, in which he stated,
"These distortions, not without reason, are fuelling accusations against the
administration of justice in our country."[181][182]
Other related court
cases
Kercher's family filed a civil suit against anyone found guilty of the
murder. The court awarded a sum of €1,000,000 to each of the parents and €800,000 to each of
Kercher's siblings.[183]
Patrick Lumumba, the man originally accused of murdering Kercher, sued Knox
for defamation and was awarded €40,000.[183] He
also pursued compensation from the Italian authorities for unjust imprisonment
and the loss of his business and, in December 2009, a court awarded €8,000 in
damages.[184] In February
2010, Lumumba announced that he would be taking his claim for compensation from
the Italian authorities to the European Court of Human
Rights.[185]
In March 2010, Knox won a civil case against Fiorenza Sarzanini, author of a
book about the Kercher case, Amanda e gli altri (Amanda and the
Others), and her publisher for violation of her privacy and illegal
publication of Court documents. The book contained long excerpts from Knox's
diary as well as from witness interviews that were not in the public domain, as
well as intimate details professing to be about Knox's sex life.[186] Knox was awarded
€40,000 in damages.[187]
Following an investigation[188]
into Knox's statements that she was mistreated by police during questioning
about the murder, a case for criminal slander was opened against her on 1 June 2010.[48] In
November 2010, Knox was ordered to stand trial on the slander charge by a judge
in Perugia.[189]
In February 2011, Knox's parents, Curt Knox and Edda Mellas, were indicted on
charges of criminal slander as a result of an interview published by the Sunday
Times in 2009, in which they stated that their daughter "had not been
given an interpreter, had not received food and water, and had been physically
and verbally abused" by police officers after her arrest.[190] Knox
and Mellas had sought to have charges dismissed, on the grounds that there was
no intent.[191][192] On 4 July 2011,
Judge Paolo Micheli resigned from the case, citing his involvement in the trial
of Knox and Sollecito.[190] The
trial of Knox and Mellas was adjourned until 24 January 2012.[190]

Re: Murder of Meredith Kercher
The Trial is over and it justs remains for the summing up. The Kercher Defense are ruling the "knife "evidence as unsafe but the Prosecution are urging the jury not to take any notice and that the existing evidence is sound.

Re: Murder of Meredith Kercher
Knox Is Compared To Nazi Joseph Goebbels

..A prosecutor in the Amanda Knox appeal case has compared her and her defence team's tactics to Hitler's propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels.
Giuliano Mignini made the comment as summing up began in Knox's appeal against her conviction for the murder of British student Meredith Kercher.
Meredith, 21, was found semi-naked and with her throat cut in her bedroom of the house they shared in Perugia, Italy, in November 2007.
The 24-year-old American has insisted she is innocent of the crime.
And in recent weeks there has been a growing groundswell of opinion that she and her co-accused former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 27, were the victims of a miscarriage of justice.
Much has been made of a damning report earlier in the appeal from two court appointed independent experts who slammed the original police forensic investigation.
The experts pointed out how alleged shoddy techniques were used when collecting evidence such as dirty gloves which raised the risk of contamination.
Making the connection to Nazi mouthpiece Goebbels, prosecutor Mr Mignini said: "In this case slander has been at home.
"Slander, slander, slander in the hope that it some of it will stick. It's worthy of the noted propaganda minister of Nazi Germany in the 1930s."
Meanwhile, Knox's father has urged the heartbroken parents of Meredith to see that his daughter had nothing to do with the brutal murder.
Curt Knox's comments came as the victim's family described how she had been ''completely forgotten'' as emphasis on the case had shifted to Knox and Sollecito.
The pair have insisted they are innocent and are appealing against the conviction, which saw Knox jailed for 26 years and Sollecito for 25 years in December 2009.
Their families are hopeful they will be released after a damning court report condemned the original forensic investigation.
Mr Knox, who is in Perugia to be with his daughter, said: ''We have not reached out to them (the Kerchers) but we have always expressed our sincere condolences to them for their loss.
"It's the worst thing that can happen to a parent but understanding the truth will allow them closure. To have two kids in jail for something they did not do, will not do honour to their daughter."
Knox, was led into court looking pale and apprehensive, managing a weak smile to her father and mother Edda Mellas who had flown in for the hearing.
In an Italian TV interview, Meredith's mother Arline and sister Stephanie spoke of how they feared Meredith's death had been overshadowed by the ongoing appeal.
Stephanie said: "In this whole case over the last four years Meredith has been completely forgotten but we need to find justice for her, the truth.
"There are no photos of Meredith in the papers or on the TV it is all on Amanda and Raffaele - the focus has shifted on them."
Arline added: "Meredith was a volcano. She was always running late and on the run. She was full of life. She liked music and dancing. She was such a sweet girl.
"In these four years we have never stopped thinking about her. It's as if she was here with me still."
The original trial heard how a 30cm kitchen knife found at Sollecito's house had DNA from Meredith on the blade and that of Knox on the handle.
But the report said the amount from the victim was so small it could not be retested and should be considered unreliable - crucially they said there was no trace of blood on the knife but food starches were present.
Also key to the first hearing was a bloodied clasp from Meredith's bra found at the scene six weeks after the original investigation by forensic teams, and on which was said to be Sollecito's DNA.
However, the experts said the time gap gives rise to the real possibility of contamination.
On Friday the hearing began with Perugia's chief prosecutor Giovanni Galati making a statement to the court in which he backed his team and the original investigators, saying he had his "full faith" in the original findings.
He added: "The conclusions of the report are unfounded and are full of holes."
Prosecutors said they had ''an ace up their sleeve'' but refused to reveal any details, although their claims were dismissed by defence lawyers.
The trial will continue into next week with defence lawyers and final submissions with the judge and jury retiring to consider their verdict until the first week of October.
They could decide to uphold the sentence, clear them completely or rule that they were "in someway involved" but that it cannot be proved and reduce the sentence considerably - possibly freeing them immediately as they have served four years already.
A third defendant, small-time drug dealer Rudy Guede, an immigrant from the Ivory Coast, was also jailed in connection with the brutal killing.
He was handed a 30-year sentence for murder and sexual violence following a fast-track trial in October 2008 which was later cut to 16 years.

"57 minutes ago Report AbuseFor some reason as this case rollercoasters across the news,,,I keep seeing the McCanns.
No parralel except for one thing,,,BOTH these families have wealth.
As mentioned here,,a guy in the states has been executed for less evidence,,,and he was poor. A family from the back end of Liverpool would have been arrested for leaving their child as soon as they hit the tarmac in GB,,in the case of the McCanns.
Very disburbing."

the Prosecution goes on the attack!
Seeking to uphold Amanda Knox's conviction for murder, the prosecution on Saturday mounted an all-out attack on the independent, court-appointed experts who have poured scorn on the forensic evidence used to sentence her to 26 years in jail.
Manuela Comodi, the third and last prosecutor to address the court hearing Knox's appeal, noted the experts were both professors of forensic science, rather than practising investigators.
And she asked the jury of five women and one man: "Would you entrust the wedding reception of your only daughter to someone who knew all the recipes by heart but had never actually cooked?"

What a sentence.....closure.
Closure will happen when the murdering pair ever tell what really happened that night...that is, if they can remember as they were so high!
