Murder of Meredith Kercher

A lot off anger tonight in Italy.

She was actually convicted off libel against the Bar owner and got 3 years for that..


So she lied about that, what else she lied about.

I would like to think that Knox is innocent......but I can't...


Evidence not reliable so conviction cannot be sustained.

There is a lot of anger among Italians over the way the Americans took over the media .

It's sad, very sad, as the judge said we have to accept the verdict.



If knox had gone through a retrial and THEN got found not guilty....then you would accept that but to appeal against a piece off DNA and the prosecution not allowed to put his case across....is UNJUST.



Let's not forget this was an appeal not a trial.....the evidence was unsound so they had no choice but to acquit ..


Poor Meredith.

How long before the book and the film?

She's already written a book in prison.....her memoirs .....


Wait for the 'bungling and inept' italians to crop up alongside the pj in the papers ....


Off course the prosecution will Appeal but extradition won't happen...

OMG Kitti, is there no end to the McCanns getting in on the act, was this a CM tweet in their name I wonder.

So Rudy Guede the drifter said he went to the bog during which time Meredith was killed by these two ? So what of his testement ?
It seems to me that DNA evidence is a waste of time if its going to be rubbished at every trial were it is the only evidence to commit and it would also seem the word of a drifter cannot be trusted either.
I have to say i cant really argue with any of the above but my gut instinct remains that she looks very dodgy to me.

MY BROTHER SAID ON THE PHONE THAT THE PROSECEUTION WOULD APPEAL.

Once she leave the country their is NO chance off getting her back.



Dodgy.....I would say something else....

DNA was just a small part off it.


The circumstantial evidence was enormous.



The defence picked up on the only piece off evidence that they could win on...and they succeeded.

Let's get the wording clear.....


It says .....the evidence was unsafe so they had no choice but to acquit....


It doesn't say she was cleared..



It's like saying......the case is shelved due to lack off evidence ....

AW SH**, I just mentioned my disgust about it in my reply to Krisy on the Tabak thread.

ANY NEWS CHANNEL/TV CHANNEL THAT OFFERS HER A DEAL TO TELL HER STORY WILL BE BOYCOTTED BY ME.

What a sad day for justice and the Kercher family.

I do however feel angry towards the Italian police because if they'd only have made sure the evidence was looked after properly (and this was a very high profile case) then Knox would still be in jail.

In the very beginning, which people seem to forget.....they admitted they did it.

When they each were taken in for questioning they EACH blamed EACH OTHER.

He said KNOX did it and...KNOX said HE did it.


He said he was on his pc at the time off the murder....the police looked at his pc.....NO....he wasn't, he was lying.


KNOX I can't remember.


Then low and behold......the next statement .....they were together , in the Apt ..alone.


Now, if you are innocent and someone had accused you off murdering someone, what do you do


A....blame some innocent man (barman)and give each other an alibi or....

B. Deny that you had done it.

But you DON'T in anyway say.....he did it because how would you know your b/f had done it unless you were actually their at the time off the murder and saw him do it..same for the b/f....you would have to be their to blame each other...if you wasn't their ....you would scream....I DIDN'T DO IT!! He /she is lying.

Exactly! And I'm hearing now that the prosecution are going to try and appeal the decision. This could mean a full retrial!
Lets hope this happens! After a FULL retrial, I WILL except any decision they make!

Sadly, I fear you may be right, kitti.

She has been 'aquitted' which i believe means cleared (due to the 'evidence' being unsafe).Unlike the mccanns who's case was shelved i.e they have not been cleared.

She will now make shed loads of money and hopefully will pay back her mummy and daddy,who to be fair,have worked their socks of in her defence.

The prosecution may well now appeal but no way will she go back for trial.

She was aquited on ONE piece off evidence.....the blood on the knife.....the DNA ....

She was found guilty on ALL the evidence and she was acquitted on the lack off DNA on the knife.

If the appeal is granted they can ask Knox to go back to Italy, they can't force her to go back as there is no extradition law between USA and Italy so therefore if she refuses.....then their is absolutely NOTHING more that can be done....it stays in limbo.
