Woman Caught On CCTV Dumping Kitten In Bin
Footage has been unveiled showing a woman dumping a helpless kitten in a wheelie bin for no apparent reason.
The cruel act was caught on CCTV by the cat's owners, Daryll and Stephanie Mann, at their Coventry home.
They discovered the trapped cat when they heard her cries and decided to check the footage from their security camera to see how she ended up in the bin.
They believed Lola - who is not yet a year old - must have been dumped by drunken louts.
But when they saw the video, they were shocked to discover it was the work of a middle-aged woman.
The grey-haired lady is caught petting the animal on camera, before looking around to see if she is being watched.

The kitten was unceremoniously dumped in the wheelie bin
As Lola walks along the wall lining the Mann's front garden, the woman lifts the lid of the wheelie bin, picks the cat up by the scruff of her neck and throws her in before walking off.
Mr Mann said: "I was shocked how someone could do something like that to an animal, I know some people don't like cats but you wouldn't expect them to do that to an animal that can't defend itself."

The RSPCA have said they are investigating the incident
The attack happened at 7.55pm on Saturday and the kitten was trapped for nearly 16 hours before she was dicovered by the Manns who were heading out for Sunday lunch.
"I'm surprised at it being a lady I expected it was someone drunk coming back from the pub, but when I saw that, it's mad," said Mr Mann.
Coventry Police said they had been alerted to what had happened and had passed the matter to the RSPCA.
A spokesman for the RSPCA said: "We are appalled by allegations that a cat was placed inside a wheelie bin in Coventry in what would appear to be a mindless act of animal cruelty.
"Investigations are on-going in liaison with the police.
"Anyone who witnessed anything or who recognises the person responsible is urged to call the RSPCA national cruelty and advice line on 0300 1234 999, leaving a message for inspector Nicky Foster."

I know it's got nothing to do with the Mcs case but one of the comments struck me.

Somone must surely recognise this cowardly old hag. I know the people of Coventry will leave no stone unturned to find this miserable witch.

hmmm 'leave no stone unturned' we could possibly see this enter the urban dictionary thanks to the Mcs but what would be the definition?

btw l hope they soon catch the evil old hag for doing that to a kitten

If that was my cat and I recognised that woman, she would have to go into hiding...
Re: Woman dumps cat in wheelie bin for no reason - Woman found
same here Claudia - in my house the cat comes before hubby, even if she'd had a bad experience with a cat it's no excuse - bet she's just a nasty old busybody

People who mistreat children and animals are scum.
Re: Woman dumps cat in wheelie bin for no reason - Woman found
Saw the bitch on Central News - thank God the kitten was found. Hope with the footage they trace the vicious woman. How can people be so cruel?
She'll only get a fine I suppose. When these scum are punished for animal cruelty they're often banned from keeping pets. What bloody use is that and how do they police it?
My blood pressure was already sky (sorry Rupert you don't own the blue stuff) high with the news about Tracy Andrews on a shopping spree and £5k's worth of plastic surgery on the tax payer.
No-one cares about the victims of crime and she's a vicious killer. Another one who cried on camera and she'd knifed Lee Harvey 37 times.
And breathe....................

OMG l didn't realise that was her. Well if the UK can let out someone who had a hand in killing 270 people nothing surprises me anymore.

Claudia, I couldn't agree more. My sister had a lovely little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who was nearly totally deaf because his previous owners had stubbed cigarettes out in his ears and also kicked him in the head. My sister gave him nothing but love until he died of a heart attack.
That woman in Coventry looked like she had stopped, waited until the little cat came to her and then calmly picked him up and dropped him into that bin. Then she just walked off. I hope someone recognises her and gives her name to the police. What a horrible woman!

That is simply horrible! Poor thing. Glad he found love before his life was over.
Children and animals are defenceless, innocent and pure. Anyone harming them is not only a piece of scum but a coward too.

CCTV camera saved the kitten's life. Cruelty to animals, cruelty to children always go hand in hand.

Agree. And most psychopathic serial killers start off with killing animals.

Mrs Stool used to put the needs of Roy, our late cat of 19years before mine every time. It wouldn't do for her to meet this cruel woman...margaret wrote:same here Claudia - in my house the cat comes before hubby, even if she'd had a bad experience with a cat it's no excuse - bet she's just a nasty old busybody

My cats some first! My morning routine is - kettle on, feed the cats. I get home from work and they're waiting for me by the gate if the weather is fine or sitting by the windows if it's raining: get in, kettle on, feed the cats! They don't have opposable thumbs, so they're dependent on me to open those food packs!

We've got five indoor rescue cats and I won't repeat what my oh has just said what he'd do to her if he met her.

My o/h would get up in the night during Roy's last few years when he meowed to be let out and then wait by the kitchen door for him to come back in. I can't understand anyone mistreating any animal, if you don't like them don't keep them or go near them is the answer.

Pets are an addition to a family. The CCTV person looks so ordinary and it just goes to show that looks can be deceiving.

Re: Woman dumps cat in wheelie bin for no reason - Woman found
The Daily Express has picked up the story and featured it on their front page. Looks like it's gonna be a race to see who gets the identity of this woman and publishes her photo. In this case, I'm glad! I hope her image gets splashed across the front page of at least one tabloid. Someone who can so calmly drop a little cat into a large bin and walk away deserves to be shamed.
Re: Woman dumps cat in wheelie bin for no reason - Woman found
oh why are people so cruel........it makes you wonder what else she has done to animals.....i had just seen the video of it....just cant understand her mentality.....she must have had every intention of doing it..by the way she looked around her as she stopped..
it reminds me of once at work a customer told me about his neighbour hated cats and would spray them with creosote if they went in his garden....apparently they lick the creosote off to clean themselves......and it poison's them....he reported him ..but nothing was ever done....i am always fearful of repeating this story as so many people hate cats....that they would think it a good idea to get rid of them.........
i hope she is caught and shamed soon......wonder what her excuse will be.........probably it spit at her ....what do you think........not that there is any excuse...but bet she will try and get out of it.......

Re: Woman dumps cat in wheelie bin for no reason - Woman found
I doubt anything will happen to her (by the authorities) even if she is identified....however if it was me who identified her...... then I'd put her in the wheelie bin just as the bin men were collecting them

Or put her in the wheelie bin with a couple of very large cats for just a few minutes: wouldn't want to be cruel to the cats! Gross lacerations might persuade her of the error of her ways!
Re: Woman dumps cat in wheelie bin for no reason - Woman found
She will be prosecuted.
My worry is that if the dustman had collected that day the cat would be in the crusher!
Its what COULD OFF happened, that is what people and i hope the RSPCA will also hold on to and prosecute her for.
THE BITCH.

According to Sky she's been identified and offered protection! Seems like a lot of folk want to do the same to her. Hope the stupid sod suffers like that poor wee cat.

Re: Woman dumps cat in wheelie bin for no reason - Woman found
doesn't this just say it all............they are talking her safety extremely seriously......what about the the poor cat...........and the cruelty..
.
A woman who was filmed putting a cat in a wheelie bin has been offered police protection after being identified by the RSPCA.
The grey-haired suspect was tracked down after she was caught on CCTV by the cat's owners, Daryll and Stephanie Mann, at their Coventry home.
Sky's Lisa Dowd said the woman was being offered police protection because of the "level of vitriol against her".
She said residents in Coventry were extremely angry, and death threats had been made against the woman on the internet.
"West Midlands Police are taking her safety extremely seriously," she said.
