There was a brown paper envelope mentioned the night of May 3rd 2007 and someone who did not like lies

I feel validation regarding the private plane story coming, some of us read it some didn't and it has caused lots of debate over the last 4 years

Does it count as a "conspiracy" if elements of LE, the government from PM on down, and the press are all involved in the "spinning of the story" of Madeleine McCann - along with everything else they seem to have written about & been involved in - or just Business As Usual?

It does seem to BE business as usual which seems to negate any particular conspiracy as to details and just exposes the unhealthy and unholy alliance that exists in those groups today.

If it were just McCanns being treated like this, that'd be a conspiracy and would pre suppose all kinds of back room deals and potential pedo networks or nuclear pwer deals at stake, or what not - the fact that this is just How They Roll is both sadder and more believable than a conspiracy around a couple of doctors who neglected their kids and happened to get Sky on the sentimental story aspect.

...because someone who knew Kate from school had a chum in the media whose editor thought the Great Unwashed readership would like the swarthy abductor angle better than the middle class British doctors as child neglectors angle, with swarthy Portuguese coordinator of the case as the hero.

Of course we have to remember that until they were sued, and despite Clarence's "influence" the papers were printing a fair amount of true stuff along with rubbish that lost them a libel suit. Follow the money.

agree, and don't.

It IS the beginning of the end of newspapers that print editorial slant as NEWs and it is for the better. I don't think the Washington Post nor the NY Times are going anywhere nor papers that deliver real value to readers in terms of printing the facts - TRY IT! - papers in France and the middle east do this and they manage to sell papers. UK and US news has gone into free fall as to standards and ethics and it's high time someone drove a stake into its heart.

Internet fora and blogs can take it from here on details of stories, there are fan sites for the nauseating obsession with celebrities, and real papers for real factual news. What's going to go begging is us being spoon fed slant as a substitute for truth.

Maybe instead of reading these sorts of papers on the train, people can get back to something of value like reading a BOOK. ?

panda dont know about big brown envelope , but plenty of little ones sent to rothley towers stuff em all together one big one no joke aside i think that the mcanns and tapas had help big help and i am one that believes it could be true that madeline was sent back to the uk hence private jet whatever , although i havent any time for the mcanns i still think they would not just dump m in the sea as some feel that happened

im scratching my head too marxman , because so much has been whooshed away , i sometimes think back did i read this or not , but i know that i did hear read somewhere that a teenage boy was there , also broken furniture etc my first reaction was a domestic and madeline had run off , there have been posts along the years on other sites that the teenager ? was incharge of all the children , theres been so much stuff posted over the years its hard to remember whats a a fake and whats not

somebody to keep their trap shut.

a priest ? yep wasnt there one that reported they have been lied to by the mcanns . i cannot for the life of me think why kate wanted a priest , but we have gone over that over and over

Wasn't there a police officer who received money? I think it was £100k. It was reported ages ago but I can't remember exactly when.
