Do You Feel Like Giving Up?
Then DON'T!
Please persevere - I have read many Posts from disheartened folk despairing at the apparent lack of resolution of the Madeleine case and the concomitant success of Healy and McCann in keeping the truth far, far away.
But if those of us who believe a different truth cease our debate then surely Healy/McCann "winning" becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy?
So please keep on flying the flag for truth, for Justice and for Madeleine.

Well, it sure doesn't look like any of us here are giving up!
Re: Do You Feel Like Giving Up?
Yes I certainly do feel despondent at times over this case and the vast amount of corruption linked with it but I am so glad that there are forums like this where at least I know that I'm not alone.

This is not the end, its not even the beginning of the end.
So it must be the end of the beginning! Well, words to that affect!
I'm here for the longggg haul.

Re: Do You Feel Like Giving Up?
We may not pop up every day but there are many of us staying the course on several fora.
The McCann case is never going to be swept under the carpet. It will be brought to a conclusion in either a judicial or financial way.
Most of the material has been archived by scores of people on the internet so our memories can be refreshed.

Re: Do You Feel Like Giving Up?
I often feel despondent and today am totally sickened by the publicity they will get again. Probably front page on all papers tomorrow and they really are celebs.
But there is the matter of the libel trial in Portugal and Pat Brown's case so maybe justice will be done eventually. There were no tough questions today and there are serious doubts about Leveson's impartiality, but maybe there will be an end to this saga next year.
They may just have upset some journo's today who may start digging, but won't hold my breath. When seasoned hacks like Kelvin Mackenzie and Piers Morgan speak in their defence it makes me sick. How can they possibly not question the inconsistencies and take the spin from Mitchell?
Have been hooked since July 2007 can't give up now. Maddie needs us pitchforkers to keep plugging away for the truth and so does Dr Amaral.

Re: Do You Feel Like Giving Up?
I was watching the BBC local news with some friends tonight and as we're in East Midlands, the McCanns were naturally the main story and I was quite surprised at how little those watching with me really knew about the case and expressed sympathy for them. I do think that after me droning on for hours afterwards about all the things they could find out on the internet if they were so inclined, that they felt a little less sympathy and a lot more doubt, but it's quite disheartening to think that there are still so many people who believe everything they read in our papers and need to see the light.

I dont feel like giving up,but the reality is that only a confession from either of these two repugnant parents is likely to bring justice.
And thats not likely.

Re: Do You Feel Like Giving Up?
It is something that I do think about but then I feel so strongly about the fact that there is Madeleine who has suffered in this and for me this makes it all the more compelling to continue until this is resolved.
I got very angry as with this Leveson Enquiry, that they are able, yet again, to slightly shift the facts so that it supports their thesis and their experience.
Everything seems to fit into place, yet again, but only by omitting certain evidence - which the watching and listening public don't know about. After all, many people have not read very much except the tabloids. So they will have sympathy for the McCanns and see them as victims. Gerry said they are worried about the twins reading stuff on the Internet - I bet they are!

Re: Do You Feel Like Giving Up?
At times I have "thought" of giving up but have never "felt" like giving up. I just can't abandon my feeling that the truth HAS to come out - I just hope that it happens during my life time. I'm in Canada and we get very little news about Madeleine's "case" here - I rely on the good people who post here to keep those of us who feel likewise informed.

The 'justice for madeleine' brigade has stopped the mccanns getting away with it.
If people like us weren't here then the mccanns would of long disappeared.....

To be quite honest, I am becoming disheartened. After their performance at Leveson this week, they are back where they were in the beginning in the eyes of the media etc..... Poor, badly treated victims who deserve the utmost sympathy. No UK paper will now dare to print the Gaspar statements, etc. The UK media will not dare print anything unfavourable which may come out of the libel hearing in Feb.
I'm really trying to be optimistic, but I think they have won. Game over. They have succeeded in painting themselves whiter than white in the UK media, IMO.

Re: Do You Feel Like Giving Up?
Not really, sometimes a little down about it all and then I see them flogging wristbands and calendars in their tacky on-line shop....remember how they never searched.....think about all the discrepancies in the statements, how it was more important to jot down a 'timeline' to cover their backs.....notice how their friends seem to be conspicuous by their absence (unless they are on pro forums).....read Kate's diary when she mentions ' you know how fond we are of you'......What!!!!......and most of all the dogs. Then I'm not down at all, because I just know there is something dodgy about this case.
