Re: Official Find Madeleine Campaign. We have updated our online store
Isn't enough that Madeleine "went missing" in highly dubious circumstances, without people who were at one time Arguidos in a live Investigation - and who have not been cleared of involvement - exploiting her memory?
Obscene.
Obscene.

Re: Official Find Madeleine Campaign. We have updated our online store
It's now quite normal for a website to be set up to ask for information about a missing person but has there ever been a case like this one where goods were available to purchase within a very short space of time?
I certainly can't think of another one. The aim in genuine cases has always been to find the missing person and not to ask for money and to sell old tat.
I see that the "copyright 2006" logo has now been removed - that certainly didn't help to allay suspicions that this was a pre-planned hoax.

Re: Official Find Madeleine Campaign. We have updated our online store
maybe they have updated to remove trashy, Kwik Save terms like "Best selling items." The whole thing is still tacky though. Never before, I reckon, has a web site for a missing child looked like advertising for a local jumble sale.

Well, with the libel trial being put back to January, they've now got a few months to raise some extra cash just in case they have to pay costs!
Re: Official Find Madeleine Campaign. We have updated our online store
This is not about online shopping or goods
for sale, it is of the utmost importance that
the Mccanns sell the idea/illusion to all and
sundry that a 'search' is on. Therefore, the
search becomes the product and will be
defended by them as such.

Can't believe that nobody has had a quiet word with them and said how totally crass, and cringemaking this tacky stuff is. Fair enough if they want to give it away if requested but asking for money is just well awful. With all their money and still wanting the odd pound or two. What on earth is the matter with these people.

They've probably got a few thousand T shirts left over from before when they thought the world and his dog would want one, but sadly they didn't fly out of Wee Cameron's garage! I think they've gone down in price.
Re: Official Find Madeleine Campaign. We have updated our online store
I know that the nice but dim woman (Julie somebody who'd previously raised money for wounded soldiers) who was selling Madeleine calendars last year had problems shifting the stash. I think they started out at £10.00 each but then were two for £12.00. I bought two as joke Christmas presents!
I ended up with one of them myself as the person for whom it was intended told me what to do with it. There's gratitude for you!

I've just been on to the website, with a view to registering my disgust at the McCanns continual use of Madeleine's situation which they caused, as a way to raise money, which finds its way into their pockets and the pockets of their wider family. However when I pressed the "Contact Us" button, it only leads to a page were one can give information to their investigation team.

Bargain Keela
If these T-shirts etc are really going to potentially find Madeleine, why aren't the McCanns permanently wearing one? Surely they should jump at the chance to be seen in Portugal sporting a T-shirt and wrist band?

They could also put the luggage labels on their suitcases, have a car sticker for the hire car and each have a wallet for keeping their passports in. asfor jumping at the chance to be seen in Portugal? I think they would rather stick pins in their eyes than come to this lawless, paedophile infested country.

Re: Official Find Madeleine Campaign. We have updated our online store
I dont understand why the Tshirts or anything else for that matter should be charged for.
If they want to raise awareness of their missing daughter they should be given away free.
There are numerous printers who would do this merchandise for free!!! Wonder why they havent
done so for the Mccanns! Perhaps they have too many doubts about this case to help!! Oh, and of course I forgot, they are not a registered charity!! If they were the printers would have been queuing up to help, if they thought it was a genunine case of a missing child.
They should not be marketing and making money out of their child in this way! It is quite sick imo, commercialisation of a missing child. All about money money money!

Kitti your bang on there, that is the biggest give away with the McCanns, the fact that they will NOT ever give up on that 3 year old Madeleine she seems to pop up on all merchandise doesn't she! , even though if and I mean IF anyone found her or SAW HER now she would look nothing like that 3 year old picture.....says it all really

Hopefully the wristbands they will be seen wearing on their next trip to Portugal will be called handcuffs...

I expect that Bonnybraes, Bren, Pam Gurney and the rest of their merry band have wardrobes crammed with Madeleine T-shirts but they certainly aren't a fashion must for most people!
