Ben Needham sensation (Mirror News)

When Kerry Needham gave that heartbreaking interview it seemed as if she certainly didn't want Ben to be found there as she thinks he is still alive somewhere. So if he was found there then that would be the end of all her hopes of him coming back one day.

With diggers etc it shouldn't take long but if they find nothing, Ben's Mother will be so upset the Police might not make a statement yet.

I think its Kerry's wish that they don't find him there. She believes he's still alive and would be distraught if he was found there..

The mother of Ben Needham is tonight flying home to Sheffield, after an emotional return to the island of Kos where her son disappeared 21 years ago. Kerry has been on the island since the weekend with members of her family, hoping against hope

that nothing will be found in the excavation of the site from where Ben vanished in July 1991. The massive operation, involving UK Police and Greek volunteers, today went into its seventh day - with no sign of anything being discovered. Duncan Wood reports from Kos.

I think Kerry was so nervous when she gave the Press interview was because she is so adamant that Ben is alive that the thought that the search might find Ben's remains would have destroyed her. Now she can still believe Ben is alive and she will meet him some day that as I said before, she needs counselling to at least consider she may never find Ben.

hi Panda, yes, she was in a bad way in that interview. I just hope she doesn't now get forgotten again, now they have finished that particular search.
