Steven Birch asking for 50k to dig up Murats drive

 But if you go onto Facebook you can search for "Digging for Madeleine McCann" and you will see that Mr Birch is asking for 50 thousand people to donate a quid each.   So he can apparently pay Murat for the privilege of digging up his drive!  I doubt that the whole house is probably worth that much given property prices in Pt right now.   Lots of people saying it's a scam.   If it is it's a fkn disgrace!

Thought birch was a millionaire....

I befriended Stephen Birch on Facebook to see all the little gems he comes out with. On a good day he's "normal", talking about his family and friends etc.

Alas, whenever he gets on to the subject of Madeleine, it's cringe with embarrassment time.

He claims that he has a letter from Robert Murat's solicitor asking for this money. Requests to provide a copy of the letter have not yet been acknowledged.........

P.S. He now says he will raise the money himself as he is disgusted with the response he's received.

He's deleted all of my posts from that page.  It is a disgraceful page, full of racist nonsense - Spain is better than Portugal, Boycott Portugal and other such rubbish.  And then there's this -



Why would anyone do that to a picture of Madeleine, under the guise of "helping" her?  It's really disrespectful, and I actually found it very upsetting.  He's deleted my post about that, too.

Oh, and the usual "pro" jibes when people say they're not contributing - "don't you want her to be found?" "won't you even pay £1"? Exactly the sort of things that Pros say all the time. And with his "boycott Portugal" nonsense, he sounds exactly like Rosiepops. I am starting to wonder if he is working FOR the McCanns.

Still tryng to implicate Robert murat....brings us back to square one.

It's probably a good time to remind ourselves how all this Birch stuff started -with a guy called van Wyk who accused his former friend Birch of nicking his original plan (see article and comments below it):
