Have heard the Payne?

The police have a suspect alive in England: David Payne, friend of the McCanns' holiday.

Yes its all over facebook.

Wow! Positive sensible logical news at last! Is it all coming to a head?

All we need now is justice for Meredith because if those two are let off, whats the betting there will be a multi million pound lawsuite winging its way to the Italian State to pay for Knox's million pound lawyers who got her off.

Theres no justice if those two get off.

This article merely states who should be at the top of Operation Grange's list of suspects. In other words, the Met's focus is a bent load of twaddle, and the obvious perpetrators are amongst the holidaying group of British doctors!

I have said it before and I will say it again.
I am fed up with PT criticising the UK over this.
The same thing was said a few months ago on a TV programme in PT.
PT had the Gaspars statement after GA was removed from the case.
Why didnt Mr Rebello pursue this ?
He came to the UK for the Roggies but never chose ta ask DP.
Why dont PT re open the case if as the editor says DP is a suspect ?
What is stopping PT from doing what this guy is asking SY to do ?
After all, it is your country were the crime was committed.

Wonder how DP will react to this now it's in print, even though it's only opinion? Not many men would ignore that......

oh dear while i am in full support of wanting to find out what happened to madeleine as yet this could damage a innocent man headlines like these - but they didnt think that when they pointed the finger at murrat - wasnt it dp and others missing from the cw programme ?

Question is, what can he do?
If he responds in any way, it will just give the story wider publicity, which is the last thing he will want.

im keeping a open mind on this yes - but at min im thinking a dr keeping their mouths shut about something like this until madeleine goes missing mmmm - if i was in that situation i would say something when it happened

If David Payne is taken in for questioning, I hope he throws a few others under the bus!

anna its where this story has come from and why ? i think something is going on and hope the truth becomes known - but how the hell can they just point the finger at 1 man in the group god knows-- just looked in on jills site and think a thread re dp has been whooshed can someone look and remember from earlier and also no posts re this

Totally agree Cass. Nobody expected this case to turn out how it has. She told what she saw as she thought it was relevent. She wasn't tainted by what ever cover up, in my opinion, is going on and her testimony is one that I think we can trust.

I believe we can trust what she says she saw - the question is whether what she saw was sinister?

Children do things which adults cannot legally do - children do them out of innocence don't they. So, did DP see Madeleine or his own daughter doing something which would only be considered rude or sinister if an adult did it? Was he merely drawing a description of what he saw and was it wrong of him to do this if that's the case?

I believe that Doctor Gasper could not be certain at the time and needed more evidence of what she considers to be Payne's intentions towards children. before she reported what she saw. What happened to Madeleine on 3rd May was, to Doctor's Gasper's mind, the further evidence she thought she needed to back up what she personally thinks of Payne.

Hi again Cass. You could point the finger at one man if maybe he was the perpertrator of the whole incident and the cover up is of him and not the parents? We have discussed who was the real father of Madeleine before. Maybe this man is the reason for all this and not the parents. They are covering up for him for some reason? Or maybe they would never suspect their close friend? He was the last one to see Madeleine? What if he caused M to have an accident and he took her away somewhere. Maybe the parents didn't know he had taken her. There would be no sign of a break in, his DNA would be in the apartment quite legitimately. Obviously I am just guessing here and have no facts to back this up.

You have failed to note, that after holding onto the statements for 6 months, they were then passed to Mr Rebello in PT. This is the same country that is asking what we are doing about it, when they did nothing themselves
