Re: Digging to start NEXT WEEK!
Hi fuzeta - but if they did say that, it would fly in the face of everything the good judge has seen and read about re current events. It would be like trying to tell her that they still believe in fairies.fuzeta wrote:Hello almostgothic. I think with the libel trial is will be business as usual, with the McCann's saying they have not given up on finding her alive. They will need more money for the fund.

Dogs out early.
No GPRs. Still no JCBs.
Object reported found - sent off for analysis.
Then whoosh, cordons off - on to next site.
Whoosh again - it's all over - nothing found.
Home tomorrow.
I'm seeing my dentist on Monday. D'you think I should call a shrink too?
Don't know about you "almostgothic" but my head hurts trying to keep up-to-date so I just might have to look into shrink services.

Re: Digging to start NEXT WEEK!
A spokesman for the McCann family said they declined to comment on the graffiti, which was written in large letters in Portuguese overnight.
Get me carter rucks number....now ...oh I forgot, I got them on predial....Gerry McCann.
Get a handwriting specialist on the first plane to Portugal...now...Kate McCann
Find who did this and arrest the suspects...I dont care if there are 20,000 suspects ....how much we got left in fund.
Oh dear....not exactly flavour off the month are they.

Re: Digging to start NEXT WEEK!
At this time no evidence relating to Madeleine McCann has been identified. However it has given us an essential understanding of the activity on and people that have used this piece of land.
Nothing has been identified, not the same as saying they found nothing. It will not be identified until the lab is finished, which will not have happened yet.
This statement, IMO, was prepared well in advance, certainly not ten minutes after the search ended this afternoon. It's carefully worded and ambiguous in places.
I said earlier today I thought the first site search finished very quickly this morning, this afternoon was even quicker. Almost as if they were searching for something very specific, based on particular information. It was not a walk around and see what we find search.
I did not think at the start of the dig they were looking for a body, now I'm certain they were never there for that purpose. if this is a serious and truthful investigation, they were looking for items and cadaver indications from the dogs as a result of those items.

Searches to find Maddie, requested by the English police have ended
British police will return to Portugal to question more people
The searches to find evidence that might lead to the whereabouts of Madeleine McCann ended on Wednesday without success in the area of Praia da Luz, Lagos. The English police are expected to return home as early as Thursday.
A Judiciary Police source said the searches requested by the English police had ended around 17.00pm. The source explained that the work was completed after over a week of searches in areas where Scotland Yard admitted that items or other evidence could be found that would help clarify the disappearance of the girl, seven years ago.
The operation, which included excavations, started on the 2nd of May, in the lookout of Praia da Luz. This Wednesday they focused their searches on the fields in the outskirts of Praia da Luz. According to the same source, the English detectives will return to Portugal, at a date not yet scheduled, to question eight people, who the English police believe they can help solve the case.
Seven years after the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, Portuguese and British authorities have searched the grounds adjacent to the tourist resort where the McCann family was holidaying.

Clarence Mitchell, the McCann family spokesman, said last night: “In the light of what Scotland Yard has said, Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry continue to have full confidence in the operation.
“In the absence of any evidence to the contrary, they continue to believe that Madeleine is still alive and out there waiting to be found.” » in Daily Express 12 Jun 2014, Anil Dawar in Praia da Luz

Clarrie was stating the obvious, when he stated that the McCanns have full confidence in the operation. He and they know that Deadwood and his team, have more chance of finding the lost sock, than they have of finding any evidence which may lead to Madeleine's disappearance. In my opinion Clarrie and McCanns, know that Madeleine, along with any visible evidence, such as the blanket and the blue bag, was taken to a place where she and the evidence will never be discovered.
Clarrie goes on to say, 'that in the absence of any evidence to the contrary, they continue to believe Madeleine is still alive and waiting to be found'. They would say that wouldn't they, because if they state what Deadwood now believes, they're in fact stating that Goncalo Amaral was correct in believing the report of Tavares de Almeida. This will mean that their lawsuit against Snr Amaral and the other defendants, will be filed in the B1N and lawsuits may be taken out against them.
I really do hope that this lawsuit is slung out, with the McCanns paying whatever costs were endured by their corrupt lawsuit. I hope that steps are taken, to make sure that the McCanns do not use Madeleine's fund, to pay these costs.
The McCanns managed to get Goncalo Amaral's bank accounts frozen, which caused he and his family great hardship. The tables should be turned, the McCanns bank accounts should be frozen, along with Madeleine's fund, because it has never been used for the intention it was set up for. If there is enough money in the McCanns bank accounts, the costs of this corrupt lawsuit, should be taken out of their bank accounts, before or after their accounts are frozen. If there isn't enough money in the McCanns bank accounts, then their house should be seized and sold, to pay the court costs.
No one need worry that Sean and Amelie will suffer great hardship, that will never happen. They and their parents, will either go to live with one of their relatives or move into a council house.

Just one small point - if the man has only one leg, then there is only one sock, which they have found.
