He seemed quite shocked by my attitude kind of strange look on his face and was insisting they are innocent and that is what everyone in the village thinks. He added that people in the village find them rather aloof but even so do not believe they had anything to do with it.

I asked an electrician who came recently, he strongly believes they killed her and disposed of the body but did not claim to know or know of them.

It was interesting that chap played golf, from the rather odd look on his face I kind of got the impression he actually knew Gerry rather than just someone who knew him. Leics is the next county to me so not that far away!

It became clear that if today’s hearing proceeded on a fully contested basis a number of areas
of law of great interest to lawyers would have had to be considered. However Gerry and Kate
McCann are not lawyers and so far as they were concerned the legal proceedings were moving
further and further from the only matter which concerns them: the search for Madeleine. The
proceedings were in danger of becoming a distraction from rather than an aid to that single
goal.


This is what Kate and Gerry's QC said to Mrs Justice Hogg when they decided they no longer wished to proceed with their action to force LP and SOCA to disclose their files to them.

Thanks, I don"t know what LA is inferring but I"m not a plagiarist and I believe I am an honest person, the conversation did take place.

Everyone, whether cardiologist, golfer, electrician or whatever, is entitled to their own opinion. The cardiologist's opinion is of no more importance or no more likely to be correct than the electrician's and vice versa. What matters is the opinion of those who know the facts of the case as detailed in the official case files, because without that knowledge they're giving an opinion based on ignorance.

Also, knowing someone professionally or socially or even personally means very little when it comes to knowing what they might do or not do. We have a case here in my part of NI due to be heard later this year, when a local highly-respected and much-liked dentist, known for his strong Christian faith, is being charged (along with a former lover) with a double murder - the murder 19 years ago of his first wife and his former lover's first husband. The charges were laid after the dentist went to the police in January this year. He is also being charged with drugging and sexually assaulting several women patients. Now, if you'd asked anyone, especially I'm sure any of his many middle-class friends, colleagues or patients, if they'd thought this man capable of anything like this I guarantee they 'd have said a very definite NO! The shockwaves in the community when it was heard that he had personally gone to the police haven't quite subsided yet, almost a year on.

So my point is that you can never really know anyone or what they might do in certain circumstances. What matters is knowledge of the facts because then there's something concrete to base opinion on, rather than the 'I'm certain ....' but with nothing to back up that certainty.

Exactly Dimsie. Makes you think doesn't it? That's why police dealing with an incident, especially a missing person case, never ever rule anything out before it's been thoroughly investigated and they are 100% certain that they can eliminate it. And again, that's why Dave Edgar, a trained and experienced police investigator has absolutely no credibility.

actually, i DO know an inspector who specialises in paedophilia and his sentiments are that they ARE guilty - of the lot......and ALL his colleagues in the police force (hampshire and isle of wight) are of the same opinion - no one understands or has any idea of the connections that has facilitated the mccanns in continuing such a farce. strange. and by the way laffin assassin - i have posted this before on the three arguidos about a year ago - before you jump to state this is an old hat post. i cant get my head around the situation - conspiracy theories dont come easy to me yet psychology is my life and the two of them and their mates scream guilty as fuck.

How many times have we heard of a wife batterer or murderer where people were so shocked when they found out. That is one of the characteristics of someone with personality disorder, they are masters at conning and deceiving and although they are without normal human empathy and feelings do try to portray those when they know it is necessary. But that is the thing with Gerry McCann, he does not even manage to act the part of having empathy, he makes the most terrible gaffs every time he opens his mouth. No wonder they felt they needed a professional spokesman. A good marketing ploy, the situation Madeleine find herself in, to me those two examples suggest pure psycopath/narcissist.

But to Kate and Gerry McCann the impression their spin has on the public is very important to them, so my electrician demonstrates, it is not really working! And the golfer looked odd as though he thought it was a taboo subject but somehow just had to stick up for them, which was very odd.

As for LA I do not know why he feels the need to attack posters, it makes you wonder whose side he is on!

I do agree that people can often totally not know the true self of people who commit vile crimes. Something I heard on "The Wright Stuff" on CH5 one morning confirmed that for me. A lady rang in to say that when a person closely involved in the running of their local boys'football team had been arrested for murder one day, noone at all could believe it. They all thought it was a huge mistake as nice, kind cheerful 'Fred', otherwise known as Harold Shipman could never be guilty of such a thing. To that day, this lady and many others could not believe that they couldn't see what he was capable of and his true character.

I know that's a third person story, but I heard that lady ring in with that all, and it struck a chord.

One of my ex-students was up in court recently for raping a young boy.

I taught him several years ago and I would never, ever have suspected him of such an act. What made it worse is that he actually said to the court, please put me in jail, I cannot be trusted around young childen; and still the Sheriff didn't give him jail time! He only got Community Service.

I then ran across him in a shop in the toen, and I had to run out the shop and hide in another shop; I didn't want to face him, and presumably he wouldn't have wanted to face me.

I have posted before that when attending my local police station to complain about some very sick abuse put on my blog, by Rosie, Supertroll etc I said to the one sergeant but these people actually believe they are innocent " oh are they " he smirked!

I was told the reams of pages of the most appalling filth about rape, child abuse, female abuse, murder etc would be passed on, I assumed to LP. I hope it is still on file, fat lot of good that will do the McCanns!!
