badassday Who are the #McCanns going to call as witnesses? Elvis, Lord Lucan and Shergar?
Well if this is only going on for 3 days, and we're nearly at the end of day 2 and Amaral and the McCanns havent spoken yet, they cant have many witnesses can they

Mr Enes says the Madeleine investigation was the victim of 'friendly fire' from the media that hampered its course.
What a load of cock and bull! wtf?? Friendly fire?? So it's ok for them to put our info on false sightings then??
Eddie, don't forget that 'friendly fire,' in conflict situations, armed conflict etc, is when someone is killed or injured by people who are supposed to be on their own side.
Re: Sky Live Day 2 - 13/01/10
I think Amaral is acting a bit too cocky, closing his eyes in the Courthouse, walking out when he hasn"t got
the excuse that Gerry has , commenting outside the CourtHouse. For God"s sake, these people only have to
appear for 3 days from 10.am til about 5pm with an hour for Lunch, can"t they show respect for the Witnesses.?

We don't know yet what "excuse" Amaral has. It's maybe too soon to judge. And I don't see what is wrong with him closing his eyes in the Courtroom, maybe he was concentrating on something.

The marketing plan for the book was much smaller than normal, because we are a small publisher, Mr Lopes tells the court.

From a Bristol Twitterer how correct it is I can't say.
hejmadv @RealHumptyB. possibly not as the word on the vine is that Kate is also legging it back to the Uk soon.

I do hope so, it certainly won't say much for their credibility - that'll be the second time they came running home when the going got tough

JondiPaolo ...the course of justice should not be diverted by books or films, it should be deaf and blind to them.
In other words he is saying don"t treat Amaral"s book as Gospel!!!

Re: Sky Live Day 2 - 13/01/10
Is it just me or does anyone think they're running scared? If the PJ decided that the evidence, was in actual fact, slanted against the mccann's enough to arrest them, would the LP have the power to act on that back in GB?

I "know" HumptyB from elsewhere, and she is usually very reliable. It's probably true. I am now sure that they are scared of being arrested the moment this hearing is over.
ETA- I'd like to think that's where GA rushed off to. To help out the guys who are preparing the arrest warrants!

My interpretation of Mr Enes's remark is that a book should not be allowed to influence the justice process, regardless of whether its contents are reliable or not.

They can't run far, because they could be subject to a European Arrest Warrant...

He is fighting for Justice for Madeleine, the right to have the injunction lifted, maybe hoping this hearing will go in his favour thereby increasing his chances of success in the Trial. If I was a Witness for him and maybe travelled a long distance I would be miffed if he couldn"t hang around to hear my Testimony. Did he advise the Judge beforehand that he had to leave early or couldn"t he stay another couple of hours ? He managed to speak to the Public outside the Courthouse.

no word for 25 minutes and all this running around? blimey wonder whats going down?!
as for arresting them....that is la la land. the whole problem with them is that there is no evidence; circumstantial yes and lots of it but nevertheless, nothing that stands up in court as proof...pity.

Yes, something big is definitely happening, wish we knew what it was. Sadly, I think the wonderful sight of the McScum being carted off in a Police Car is just wishful thinking - for now.
